Summer ’23 will be remembered for many things; seemingly everyone you know was in Europe, designer Raffia bags, smoke-covered cities, and Barbie. That’s right, the childhood doll that many of us grew up on is back in the spotlight in a major way thanks to the movie Barbie starring Margot Robbie as Barbie herself and Ryan Gosling as Ken. The all-star cast has been busy promoting the movie, and Margot has been styled impeccably, bringing back some of the most beloved Barbie getups of all time.
We visited the bags Margot Robbie carried in the past, but it’s been a few years, and it’s time to see what Barbie/Margot has been carrying recently. Margot has been a Chanel ambassador since March of 2018, so it’s no surprise to see her carrying and wearing many pieces from the House of Chanel.
The Barbiecore pink and colorful ensembles have not only felt like part of my childhood is being revisited but also has been done in an over-the-top and subtle way, making this the summer of pink accessories and bright and bold designs.

The Barbie Bags
Margot and her team, led by her new stylist Andrew Mukamal, get an A+ for styling her during her photocalls and this week’s widely publicized Barbie worldwide premiere! From nods to past iconic Barbie looks like her custom dress for the premiere that replicated 1960s Barbie’s Solo in the Spotlight to pink and playful fun ensembles from airport arrivals to meeting fans, Margot has conceptualized and brought to life Barbie and the Barbiecore summer we are all obsessing over. This means a lot of pink, from clothing to shoes to bags and perfectly coiffed high ponytails.
Chanel Ambassador
Since 2018, Robbie has been an Ambassador for the House of Chanel and has worn the brand to countless Red Carpet events. Though she’s been seen in different wares in the past year (Bottega Veneta), her love for Chanel and consistency in carrying the brand has been steadfast.
The Rest of It
Robbie has kept with many of the same brands in recent years, but in the past half year, it seems she also has a budding partnership with Bottega Veneta. She has been seen carrying some of the newest BV bags and other big names, including Prada. On top of that, we love to see smaller, independent brands represented, and Robbie has delivered there as well.
