Celebrities    The Many Bags Of

The Many Bags of Chiara Ferragni

Remember back in the day when brands and traditional media scoffed at blogs, who they assumed were destined to be flashes in the pan who never truly impacted the industry? That sentiment hasn’t aged well. Just ask Italian street style star Chiara Ferragni; she turned her personal style blog, The Blonde Salad, into a multimedia mini empire and herself into a millionaire, launching her own shoe line along the way. It’s amazing what a lot of hustle and a little swanning around at fashion week can do.

Most documentation of Chiara’s handbag collection comes from FW shots, but in the past year or two, she’s become mainstream famous enough that paparazzi occasionally snap her around her adopted home of Los Angeles. While w get ready for the impending New York Fashion week, we took some time to look over all the photos, and you can check out our findings from Chiara’s collection below.

Balenciaga First Bag
$1,325 via Balenciaga

Every cool girl who can afford it has owned a Balenciaga Motorcycle Bag at some point. It’s science.

Céline Box Bag

This bag has been one of my favorites since it debuted.

Clearly, Chiara is also a fan.

Céline Trio Bag

In general, Céline does well with the street style set.

Chanel Boy Bag

I’m not sure what to say about this outfit except that I’m kind of obsessed with how perfectly French it is.

Chanel Boy Bag

A few years ago, not all the Boy Bags were as rigid as they are now.

This is also how I feel when I didn’t know it was gonna snow.

Chanel Boy Bag

I wish my bag were so small and empty that I could tie it to my belt loop without fear of pantsing myself. Maybe one day!

Chanel Flap Bag

This flap bag has the Mademoiselle-style chain normally seen on 2.55 Flap Bags, but the logo lock more commonly seen on Classic Flap Bag. Curiouser and curiouser.

Chanel Fur Flap Bag

This piece was a runway bag in Chanel’s famous supermarket-themed collection.

Chanel Graffiti Backpack

The Chanel Graffiti Backpack turned out to be so popular that I’m surprised the brand didn’t make variations of it for several seasons afterward.

Chanel Mini Classic Flap Bag

Usually I love how Chiara pairs things, but I’m not much for this bag/outfit combo.

Chanel Vintage Belt Bag

Chiara doesn’t shy away from vintage bags, which I’d assume is helpful for someone who is frequently photographed and needs as much variation in her outfits as possible

Black patent leather in the rain: a smart move.

Chloé Drew Bag
$2,390 via farfetch.com

This full-python version of the Drew may be my all-time favorite fabrication of the bag.

Chloé Hudson Bag
$2,566 via farfetch.com

Chiara is pretty enough that she can wear this outfit and you’re still like, “Wow she’s glowing!”

Chloé Hudson Bag
$2,090 via Neiman Marcus

Chloé’s ultra-femme French bohemianism looks like it was made for Chiara to wear it.

Chloé Hudson Tassel Bag
$2,566 via farfetch.com

This is the exact moment she realized the sunglasses might have been a bridge too far.

Chloé Marcie Bag
$1,990 via Neiman Marcus

Once upon a time, Chiara dressed much more like a regular, casual human.

Dior Clutch

Now, obviously, she’s a full-on fashion person.

Dior Lady Dior Mini Bag

A mini veil is…a choice you can make, sure.

Dior Mini Diorever Bag

I love when hardcore fashion people bring out their optical frames.

I would not blame you if the bag isn’t the first place your eyes go in this picture. Personally, mine went to the shorts.

Fendi DotCom Small Bag
$2,600 via Nordstrom

Guys, I bet that dress is so soft.

Fendi Micro Baguette Bags
$1,550 via Nordstrom

Chiara was among the first major fashion influencers to really get on that micro bag bandwagon.

Fendi Micro Peekaboo Bag
$1,550 via Nordstrom

And she got on it with enthusiasm.

Hermès Birkin

Chiara has at least two Birkins, but as far as I can tell, she never uses them in a professional capacity–they appear to be reserved for off hours.

Hermès Birkin

Here’s the other one. (You figured that out, probably.)

Hermès Kelly

This outfit is a good argument for the usefulness of expensive a la carte straps; this Fendi version automatically makes the Hermès bag it’s attached to look less formal.

Hermès Kelly

This red Kelly, like the Birkins, only seems to come out in off hours.

Hermès Kelly

We found it. The world’s tiniest Hermès bag.

Louis Vuitton Murakami Cerises Speedy Bag

Louis Vuitton’s Murakami collab bags always fill me with such nostalgia for college.

Louis Vuitton Palm Springs PM Backpack
$1,910 via Louis Vuitton

Chiara was an early adopter on this design, which is now red hot.

Louis Vuitton Petite Malle Bag
$5,200 via Louis Vuitton

Chiara has a pretty good relationship with Louis Vuitton–she’s a fixture at their fashion shows.

Louis Vuitton Petite Malle Bag
$5,200 via Louis Vuitton

She also sometimes carries the brand’s bags to other people’s shows.

Louis Vuitton Twist Bag
$4,100 via Louis Vuitton

If you’ve never tried this hairstyle, I recommend that you give it a shot and then marvel at the fact that anyone can make it looks cool.

Lulu Guinness Lips Clutch
$369 via ASOS

This is easily the least expensive bag on this list, which is impressive.

Prada Corsaire Bag
$2,220 via Net-a-Porter

While I do not necessarily endorse this jacket, the bag is indeed flames.

Prada Micro Dome Bag
Shop Prada via Net-a-Porter

There is literally nothing in that bag and I refuse to believe otherwise.

Saint Laurent Love Heart Bag
$1,750 via farfetch.com

Sure, I think this technically counts as wearing clothes.

I’ve been following her since she started her blog, many years ago, but I don’t follow her anymore. I don’t like her style but I understand the purpose of it. She’s paid to be a walking ad; who wouldn’t enjoy all those free things? She’s very pretty and she makes it work. She wouldn’t be so successful if she wouldn’t know how to put together those looks… I miss her style from the old days though.
I’ve said this in previous comments and I’ll repeat it -she looks like a young Anna Dello Russo!

I was always like, “What’s the point of Chiara Ferragni?”

But she does wear clothes and accessories really, really, really well. So I think I get it now.

JH

I am still at the “What’s the point of Chiara Ferragni phase?”

FashionableLena

As am I. I don’t find her interesting at all. Just another blogger wearing expensive clothes.

TheModMazza

More like another blogger wearing expensive clothes, that are loaned to her.

guest

Not a fan of how she dresses but her bag collection is amazing

Lori

She is more like a living ad in Vogue. The bags are a bit much as there are so many. But good for her making a living doing what she does. BTW, How much is a micro Kelly?

Laura

Captions-love! “…tying bag to your belt without pant sing yourself”. Best EVER. They owe you a raise for that caption alone, let alone the others. Commentary-genius (bowing). Thank you.

Laura

Thanks, iCorrect. Really did mean ‘pantsing’. Ducking pantsing.

Millerette5

WHAT DOES SHE USE ON HER SKIN?!?!? UGH so gorgeous

Smithy

She has amazing bags. She’s also got a model figure who can automatically make anything look good. She looks quite beautiful in some pics and quite unattractive in a few others.

Also, as a side note, why do I always get the “I made $80 putting stamps on envelopes and pimping out my mom…..” responses to my posts? I’m so sick of these spammers!! They make me not want to post on here. Is there anything to be done about it? I always try to flag their posts.

Yoshi1296

She looks great! Who cares if she’s paid to wear things or is wearing free things given to her. I’d kill for any free items from any designer.

Sparky

Nice bags.
Her clothing style is bit too random.

Dave

YouI Know she has thousand of bags, but she has several Loewe bags, such as Amazona or Elephant in pink.
Don´t forget it!!!

Vicky

I don’t get some of her clothes, but I understand that it’s an ad for the brands. If you don’t get her here, check out her early works. Those are good.
She used to be a model and I think she is still a good one, commercially. She makes almost everything look good and just sell. And I kinda like some stuff from her own line, too.

Charlie

She certainly loves her nano bags!

cdawgcoop

But really, what’s the point? It’s all sponsored for her so it’s not as if it’s true fashion.

W S M

Who cares if it’s sponsored? For me, personally, it all depends on how she puts the look together and accessorises. That’s why she’s an ‘influencer’ that has an audience. Brands look for that.

Jess

I’m not a fan. Just looks over the top and tacky. Waaaay too much ‘stuff’. How can you possibly appreciate it all. It seems all for show, not for herself, more so than other celebs (if one calls her that).

Giselle

Not a fan of her style, it feels like she tries too hard. The bags are beautiful though! Btw, mademoiselle-like chain is called bijoux by Chanel.

Jan K

Remember back in the day when …. Chiarra Ferragni carried fake Balenciaga bags. I guess that isn’t important … ?

Yazi

She’s a walking advertisement for the brands that pay her. I like her but her whole style isn’t genuine any more.
