Back in 2021, JW Pei’s Gabbi bag took social media by storm. Spotted on celebs such as Emily Ratajakowski, Lucy Hale, Gigi Hadid, and more, the Gabbi bag became an unlikely It-Bag; retailing for under $100 and available in an array of colors, the bag resonated with consumers looking for an on-trend bag that wouldn’t break the bank. Now, as a new season approaches with fresh trends, the brand has released a new bag that is sure to be a hit as well.
Introducing the JW Pei Abacus Bag
The crescent bag, defined by its curved lines and moon-like shape is one of fall’s most-wanted silhouettes. With nearly every major designer jumping on the trend, it’s clear that this shape will be everywhere next season, including JW Pei, who just dropped its latest bag, and you’re going to want to be the first to know.
New in for fall 2022, the Abacus bag takes the crescent bag to new heights with its cool ring-handle detailing. Crafted from the brand’s vegan leather but also available in green nylon mesh, it comes in two sizes and an array of colors. There are neutrals like black, nude, and white as well as fun hues like green, light blue, and barbie pink. There are two size options as well, the first being a smaller bag that functions best as a top handle and the second being a larger shoulder bag, prices are $89 and $109 respectively.

Yikes – when you think it can’t get any uglier someone proves me wrong
When I saw the beige one, I thought it was a rubber chicken.
Another ugly bag trying to piggyback ride off Bottega.
This fills me with inexplicable fear
Yikes–looks like a stomach!
This bag is very cool in pictures, but it looks uncomfortable to carry.
I’m sorry but it’s very ugly
Wow, I’ll pick up one of those balloon animals next time I head to the state fair
Terrible
It’s an interesting design that heavily borrows from both B.V. and Fendi and you can’t argue about the price. (Although, someone may disagree about the price). 🤷♀️
Bulky but not roomy
Those look like the Fisher Price rainbow stacking rings my kids had as babies.
