Gigi Hadid is the Face of Burberry’s Just Debuted Monogram Collection

The girl, the lady, the gentleman and the boy, Hadid wear four hats to introduce Burberry's newest line

When Riccardo Tisci took the reigns as Creative Director at Burberry, a new era for the brand began. One of the first major changes to be made was the introduction of a brand new logo. First seen on the brand’s Spring/Summer 2019 runway, the new logo features an interlocking T and B, which pays homage to the brand’s founder Thomas Burberry. Another notable change at the house came in the form of exclusive drops, dubbed ‘B Series‘, which allows consumers to shop exclusive products for a limited time only. And now, Burberry has released campaign images of its latest exclusive venture: the Burberry Monogram Capsule Collection. The collection features RTW, shoes and accessories in a tonal brown and beige logo print. The pieces appear to be inclusive, with Gigi Hadid playing the part of girl, lady, gentleman and boy in these just released campaign images. The collection will be available beginning on May 22nd, but you can already discover more, and sign up to shop it first on May 20th, via Burberry.

Hideous.

So Much Burberry stripes! I guess it’s better than plaid everything, though!

Sparky

At least the plaid is classic and fresh. This pattern is too muddy. Looks dated before it’s released!

WEST LEE

The pattern look very busy. The color of stripes on it remind me FILA X FENDI.

Olivia Isaksson

Yes about the fila x fendi! ?? I miss the plaid, such a tasteful classic!??

PJGambler

Whenever I see drab brown and beige, I think of LV of which I own too many drab brown and beige pieces……

psny15

this looks so drab and boring

Sparky

Triumphant self portrait of the creative team. Why? There’s nothing genius about this shoot. Model shot on seamless with boxes with directional light. The boxes dominate so much I’m drawn to them and not the clothing.

Kenzie

Looks like a challenge photo-shoot for amateurs on America’s Next Top Model.

Sparky

And they were eliminated !!!!

Tana

Why all monogram have to be in these two ugly colours?

WEST LEE

Totally agreed. i am just thinking the same! Coach, LV, Fendi……

Tana

Exactly! I don’t hate monogram but just can’t with these two colours.

I miss old Burberry, every single time I see the new TB logo I think of Tory Burch… So confusing, I don’t get the “old heritage” Burberry feeling at all… I guess that was the point, but does not scream high end or even classic or grown up at all. And I am 29, not 59.

Bryan Lepe

Oh no. Please don’t. Stop it before it starts.

Chowdary

very depressive, collection, colors and mood. pls why?

Kweenhelene

Does nothing for me. Reminds me of winter and I am done with the cold weather.

Eleanor

1) There is nothing special about these photos or these clothes. At all.
2) Gigi Hadid? Come on Burberry, be more unoriginal, I dare you.

Tess

Overrated just like her sister and the Jenner gal only models due to parents

Who are the Burberry “creative geniuses” and how has no one in their corporate team realized this looks like another iteration of all the brown logo luxury brands that have existed for years? Also, do they not realize that the common consumer of this brand – aside from the fashion bloggers and celebs who will likely be gifted the product as a way for additional promotion – will have no idea what the TB means nor care to dig deep into its meaning to understand it?

Stick. To. The. Plaid. Or freshen up the plaid… be creative with your existing brand standard! It’s not rocket science?

Jaime

Just wanted to add to this article…did you see with the new logo and monogram that Burberry posted bigger earning than anticipated. I purchased the new monogram pouch in London and I receive compliments all the time or what design is it. I think they are doing better than everyone anticpated. 🙂
