Bottega Veneta Focuses on Interesting Textures with Its Resort 2022 Bags

Daniel Lee's last designs from Bottega Veneta are slowly trickling out

Last month, shockwaves were felt around the fashion world when Daniel Lee departed Bottega Veneta, to later quickly be replaced by former colleague Matthieu Blazy. Blazy won’t make his debut as creative director until February, and that’s when we’ll get a look at the direction he’ll choose to take the brand. Until then, we’ve got the last of Lee’s designs to take a look at, and yesterday, his latest for the brand was released.

Resort 2022, chronologically, is older than the brand’s spring collection, Salon 03, which was shown in Detroit back in October. Like the many that have come before, this collection shows not only the attention to detail that Lee’s work at Bottega is now known for but the focus on impeccable craftsmanship. According to Vogue, the brand will open a location in New York’s SoHo shopping district later this week, and this offering is what customers will peruse.

The bags are a mix of existing silhouettes, including the cult-favorite Pouch, Arco Bag and the Point, and new bags too. They continue to showcase the fun side of fashion with bold, bright colors, rich textures, and colorful patterns. These bags are ready for a good time, are you? Take a look below at bags from Bottega Veneta’s Resort 2022 collection.
