In some ways, it seems like Taylor Swift has been daring me to write a second investigation into her handbag collection all summer. Every day when I open our photo agency’s archives, there are new photos of her walking to and fro in New York City, enjoying her morning constitutional, her evening constitutional and sometimes several constitutionals in between, generally wearing a two-piece matching outfit and a handbag dangling from her forearm. To me, her intentions are clear.

Ferragamo Releases Its Fall 2014 Collection With a Digital Trunk Show
Ferragamo is riding a heat wave at the moment. The brand struck handbag gold with its latest major push, the Fiamma, and followed it up by enticing its fans with an online film series and now a digital trunk show.
For its Fall 2014 collection, Salvatore Ferragamo tapped Alexandra Richards, Leigh Lezark, Genevieve Jones and Princess Melusine Ruspoli for its campaign. The four ladies were shot on location around New York, and each picked her favorite looks from Massimiliano Giornetti’s fall runway collection.
I already adore Ferragamo bags, but after seeing these photos, I have a new appreciation of all things Ferragamo. Fall will be here before we know it, so start picking out your fall must-haves; you can start by visiting the Ferragamo Digital Trunk Show to swoon over the collection.
Amy Adams Attends Party with a new Ferragamo Bag
Here’s Amy Adams, heading into (and then out of) the same Brentwood party that we saw Kerry Washington attending over the weekend. Apparently it was a “gifting party,” which explains why she’s carrying a nice bag of goodies on the way out. Amy’s beige bag is the new-for-Fall 2014 Salvatore Ferragamo Fiamma Bag. The Fiamma … Read more

With Ariel Foxman at the helm, InStyle has made waves in the fashion sphere with an approachable attitude along with an ever-expanding online presence.
Want It Wednesday: Not-Quite-50 Shades of Grey
Not only is grey one of my very favorite colors (it totally qualifies as a color, okay?), but it’s perfect in a transition because it comes in so many seasonless variations. Since we continue to barrel through August at an alarming rate, it’s now time to think about making those transitions, and we’ve got a few suggestions in this week’s edition of Want It Wednesday.
Mulberry Got Cara Delevingne a Handbag Cake for her Birthday
Yesterday was Cara Delevingne’s 22nd birthday, and considering that she’s an international It Girl and supermodel from a well-to-do London family, you’d be excused for not knowing exactly what to get her. Mulberry, the brand that loves Cara the very most, did not seem quite so stumped; it got her an edible Mulberry Cara Delevinge Bag, bathed in black fondant.
Kerry Washington Carries the Infamous Prada Face Bag
Here’s Kerry Washington, attending a private party in LA with a Prada Face Mural Shoulder Bag, which was one of the most eye-catching pieces from the brand’s Spring 2014 collection. The line has long since sold out, but it was so popular that Prada is doing some more girl clutches and things for the upcoming … Read more
Headed Off to College? Here’s What to Carry for Under $550
Even though it’s been a solid decade since I went off to college, this time of year makes me nostalgic for back-to-school shopping, no matter how many grey hairs I’ve recently started producing. (Spoiler alert: a significant number of grey hairs.) As you might expect, I have some thoughts on how to pick exactly the right bag for all your college needs, as well as some suggestions of what’s out there right now that fits the bill.
Valentino Revisits Rockstud Rouge
When Valentino puts out some kind of specialized version of its wildly popular Rockstud bags, shoppers work themselves into a lather. The seasonal lines, like all-black and crystal-covered camo, sell out without fail, and if you wait too long or waste time praying for a sale, you’re generally out of luck. If that was the case for you when the all-red Valentino Rockstud Rouge bags came out several seasons ago, it looks like your luck has changed.
Well This is a Weird Bag, Alice + Olivia
“Weird” is having a big month so far. Fall deliveries have given us such a bumper crop of oddball bags that we went ahead and picked our favorite dozen last week, and then Coach put some giant animal heads in its latest in-store campaign. Now, somehow, Alice + Olivia has out-weirded them all.
Check Out Katie Hillier’s and Luella Bartley’s First Bags for Marc by Marc Jacobs
If it felt to you as though Marc by Marc Jacobs handbags had become a bit stale over the past few years, you weren’t alone; Marc Jacobs felt the same way. In advance of his company’s much-rumored future IPO, Jacobs brought in Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley to breathe new life into the once-powerful contemporary brand, and we now know more about the duo’s first line of bags for the brand.
The 10 Most Expensive Bags of Fall 2014
Now that it’s August, practically all the bags available for purchase online are from pre-fall or fall. With stores flush with new products and designers churning out more and more exotic bags every season, we wondered how how the highest of high-end bags compared to last season’s crop.
