One of the most popular footwear trends of the year continues to be sleek, clean, slim-silhouetted sneakers. While chunky dad sneakers and gorpcore favorites will always see relevance, the sneakerina has quickly become the It-shoe of the season.

The latest retro runner to hit the scene is destined to be a hit, taking one of the most popular vintage-inspired sneakers and upping its cool factor even more. Yes, we’re talking about the new kid on the block, Versace’s collaboration with Onitsuka Tiger.

Introducing Onitsuka Tiger x Versace

First presented as part of Versace’s Spring 2026 collection, Onitsuka Tiger’s classic tai-chi trainers are reinvigorated by Versace’s unprecedented collaboration with the heritage sportswear brand, which celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2024.

Uniquely melding Versace’s boldly distinct DNA with Onitsuka Tiger’s know-how, the partnership is introduced in new campaign images celebrating the beauty and expression of movement. The silhouette, which is truly a sneaker-ballet flat hybrid, stays true to its Japanese heritage and is produced in the Onitsuka Innovative Factory in Tottori, Japan.

Available now in select Versace stores and online, the Tai-Chi Sakura Sneaker starts at $750 and arrives in both suede and leather in an array of hues from neutrals to pop colors and metallics alike. Discover more below and purchase now via Versace.
