Versace’s Spring 2026 collection, which debuted last fall at Milan Fashion Week, was the start of change. That change would be further cemented when Dario Vitale departed Versace after just one season, only to be replaced by Pieter Mulier.
Still, Versace forges ahead with its colorful, bold new era, and today we’re taking a look at the brand-new Versace Pivot Bag, fresh from the Spring 2026 runway.
On the runway, Vitale looked back to the ’80s Versace and the codes established by the House’s founder, Gianni Versace. This history meets a sexy modernism of sorts, further defined by bold colors and textures.
The Pivot Bag, which debuted on the runway, encapsulates that vision, taking the iconic Versace Medusa head and bringing new life to the storied motif. While its defining element is a leather patch with a Medusa Cameo, a unique chain detail adds a jewelry-like element that feels fresh.

Furthering its heritage, the Medusa that is depicted is the same as the one that decorates the door of Via Gesù, 12, the original home of Versace and its atelier in Milan.
While the Pivot is striking in its design details, it is meant to be wearable as well, easily transitioning from shoulder to top-handle wear.
The Pivot Bag arrives in two sizes and a variety of color combinations, from bicolor leather and suede to monochrome leather. Adding to its luxe appeal, the bag is crafted from leather and lined in lambskin.
Launching this week in Versace boutiques and on versace.com, the Pivot is already becoming a favorite of style stars like Olivia Dean and Alex Consani.
I don’t think Versace is at that level where someone would pay $3,300 for one of their bags. At least I wouldn’t.
