One of the biggest handbag trends of the last couple of years is the East/West trend. From Alaïa’s viral Le Teckel Bag to elongated versions of Bottega Veneta’s Andiamo and Loewe’s Puzzle Fold Tote, it seems like every designer is giving its latest It-bag a makeover to tap into the trend.
The silhouette isn’t leaving us anytime soon, with new bags from Loewe, Khaite, and Hermès set to drop this coming fall. Whether you love it or would rather leave it, the east/west bag is a true statement maker.
This shape is undeniably chic, standing out from the crowd thanks to its distinct, long silhouette. While the shape is most often fitted with a top handle or shoulder strap, some crossbody options can be found. We scoured the internet to bring you the best east/west bags all in one place!
We’ll continue adding to this list as fall/winter collections drop. Which bag is your favorite?
Great article, love the variety of brands and colors. This is a classic vintage style, so many great preowned options too for the same look!
The Ferragamo is gorgeous in person, and I love the Puzzle Fold as well, but I can’t for the life of me keep a two strapped bag on my shoulder. One strap always falls off.
Nice list but I would also have included the Delvaux east-west Brilliant.
