Going For Gingham: 15 Pieces to Rock One of Spring 2018’s Biggest Trends

Bags, shoes, accessories and more, we're gung-ho for gingham

Gingham has always been a thing for the spring and summer months, but this spring it’s everywhere and available on almost everything. Not to mention, the biggest and most expensive designer brands are incorporating it, as well as some of our favorite affordable brands. Last summer I snagged an adorable pair of Sam Edelman lace-up gingham sandals that I’m still obsessed with, but the more I see gingham pop up on my favorite shopping sites, the more I want to add to my closet! Below are 15 gingham pieces I’ve fallen head over heels for!

Mansur Gavriel Circle Crossbody Bag
$695 via MyTheresa

My love for Mansur Gavriel’s circle bag is so real, but when you add pink gingham to it, my obsession tops the charts! I picture myself wearing this on a picnic with a flowing white dress.

Gucci Princetown Loafers
$750 via Nordstrom

Gucci loafers in gingham?! Need I say more? These are so cute that it actually hurts to look at them, full well knowing I can’t buy them since I just indulged in another Gucci purchase—stay tuned to see what it is!

J.Crew Ruffled Wrap Skirt
$190 via Net-a-Porter

An affordable—and adorable—way to do the gingham trend, this J.Crew wrap skirt is not only super cute, but an incredibly flattering silhouette.

Miu Miu Bow Leather Sneakers
$650 via Net-a-Porter

These really need no explanation, but I will say this—I don’t need another pair of sneakers, especially not these, but you better believe I want them.

Loewe Hammock Bag
$2,450 via Nordstrom

You may have seen a Loewe Gingham Puzzle bag on my Spring Wishlist, but I think I’m loving this Hammock bag more! I love the contrasting pastel colors, which along with the gingham, just scream spring!

Mara Hoffman Maven Swimsuit
$275 via MATCHESFASHION

I’m ready to book a vacation, because this just might be the cutest swimsuit I’ve ever seen.

Tretorn Gingham Sneakers
$70 via Shopbop

Not only are these sneakers incredibly cute, but they’re also a good buy and extremely comfy. I have a pair of Tretorn sneakers that are about 5 years old and super worn, but I love them so much I don’t want to let them go.

Kate Spade Gingham Earrings
$48 via Bloomgindales

The tiniest and most delicate way to do gingham, these Kate Spade earrings are girly but fun.

MDS Stripes Cropped Gingham Top
$295 via Net-a-Porter

I’m obsessed with high-waisted jeans these days, and particularly I live in my light-wash Levis. This blue gingham cropped top would make an adorable pairing with my favorite live-in jeans.

Prada Gingham Makeup Bag
$235 via MATCHAESFASHION

Have you ever seen a more adorable way to tote around your makeup? Didn’t think so.

Comme Des Garçons Wallet
$241 via Farfetch

This metallic checkered wallet is the cool-girl’s gingham.

Helene Birman Gingham Fedora
$108 via Bloomingdales

I’m a hat girl—always have been, always will be. It’s beanies in the winter and fedoras in the summer. This gingham-trimmed fedora is perfect for easy breezy spring days.

Sonia Rykiel Quilted Crossbody Bag
$550 via Shopbop

I love that this bag is gingham, but it’s not overly girl. The large hardware closure makes it a bit edgier than anything else included on this list, so if you’re looking for a bit of a downtown cool vibe to go along with your gingham, then this is for you.

No.21 Gingham Bow Wedges
$825 via Farfetch

Nothing says summer more than woven espadrille wedges. Add a bow and pink gingham and these don’t just say summer, they scream it.

Caroline Constas Helena Dress
$495 via Net-a-Porter

My love for Caroline Constas knows no bounds. This dress is like a pretty package all tied up with a bow. It kind of reminds me of a layer cake, but for some reason I really like it.
