Spring Refresh: 15 Items Kaitlin is Crushing on for Spring 2018

It might not feel like it yet, but warmer weather is imminent and my want list is growing

It snowed yesterday in NYC, and a week ago it did the same. I wish I could say I thought this was the last of it, but the weather woman this morning told me otherwise, as there’s another possible impending storm in the forecast for early next week. Even still, the days are getting less and less grey, and with daylight savings time this past weekend, they’re also getting longer and lighter. I’m officially ready for spring, and even though my wardrobe probably is too—everyone that’s close to me knows I don’t need another thing—I’m fantasizing about sprucing it up a bit with some new shoes, accessories and a few clothing items too.

I’ll most definitely indulge in one or two of my wants, and only because I just did a HUGE closet purge. I gave most of my old goods away but sold a few designer pieces, so I’ll definitely feel less guilty about snatching up something new with my profits. Below, I’ve rounded up the 15 things I’m coveting for spring. What are you lusting after the season?

Wandler Hortensia Medium Shoulder Bag
$810 via Net-a-Porter

Wandler is a brand Megs and I discovered on Instagram, and we both fell for immediately. It’s incredibly affordable, and I absolutely adore both the shape and color of this bag.

Sam Edelman Lorraine Loafer
$120 via Nordstrom

I had a pair of Sam Edelman silver loafers that I got last spring and wore about four days a week until a fall festival destroyed them. I found these and am seriously considering replacing my long-lost pair with them. They are affordable, and a chic, quality alternative to those designer ones we all know and love!

Chloé Poppy Heart Sunglasses
$286 via MATCHESFASHION

If you receive our e-mail newsletters, then you may have seen these beauties last week. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about them since! I dream of wearing these with my favorite AG Jeans (high-waisted bellbottoms) and a white cropped top for a very 70s look.

Alexander Wang Denim Jacket
$450 via Net-a-Porter

“Just wear it with a denim jacket over it,” my friend proclaimed when critiquing an outfit of mine early last fall. I was embarrassed to admit that I don’t own a great denim jacket! It’s been on my list, but I’ve never actually gotten around to purchasing one. Partly because other things I want always take precedent, and partly because I can never find just the right fit and wash. I love the tone of this Alexander Wang one and the oversize fit seems just about perfect.

BaubleBar Earrings
$62 via Nordstrom

Ever since I got hooked on wearing statement earrings, I can’t stop. I used to be strictly a stud girl, but now I’m all for a little boost to my outfit. Hoops, tassels—you name it and I want it. I adore the simplistic shape yet fun crystal finish on these earrings by my one of my favorite brands for earrings—BaubleBar.

Saint Laurent Small Monogram Loulou Backpack
$1,690 via SSENSE

Have you heard us yet? Backpack are here to stay, and it’s about time I add one to my collection. I’ll probably have to get one that’s not a premium designer since I’ve got my eye on another bag, but this one is simply adorable and I wouldn’t mind this showing up at my apartment. Any takers?

Chloé Lauren Scalloped Platform Wedge
$595 via Net-a-Porter

I’ve always loved the look of the Chloé Lauren shoes. The scalloped detailing is super feminine and cute, and this grey color for spring? Yes, please!

Caroline Constas Gabriella Gingham Top
$395 via MATCHESFASHION

I have this exact top in a lace version from last spring and I’m obsessed with it, so naturally I want it in the gingham too. What can I say, the heart wants what it wants.

Dr. Dennis Gross Glow Pad Self Tanner for Face
$38 via Net-a-Porter

I don’t just want this, I need this. After one seriously long winter, my face needs all the help it can get in the glow department.

Saint Laurent Card Case
$425 via Nordstrom

I technically already have this in my possession, but I’m still crushing on it, and after using it a couple of times, I’m really glad I splurged and added this little wallet into my rotation! I desperately needed to update my wallet for spring, and I mostly carry cards so this was the perfect choice. Though it’s called a card case, it’s really a small wallet as it opens all the way up and there’s a place to keep cash as well as cards.

Gucci High Top Sneakers
$795 via Neiman Marcus

Sneakers it seems, are here to stay, so why not grab a floral pair to rock for spring? I just found these and I am obsessed.

Loewe Puzzle Bag
$2,850 via Nordstrom

I’ve wanted a Loewe Puzzle Bag for a while now, and this just might be the cutest one I’ve ever seen.

See by Chloé Maxi Dress
$495 via MATCHESFASHION

Floral maxi dresses just scream spring, and as soon as the weather gets warm enough, you’ll find me living in maxi dresses. This is one I just simply must have, and I would pair this with that denim jacket I don’t yet have.

Frye Campus Fedora
$198 via Nordstrom

Frye has some of the best hats around. I’ve worn them myself when we’ve shot products with Fyre before, and I always say I want to buy one of my own. As my mother likes to tell me, I have a head for hats, and I love the light grey color of this one! I’d wear this with the above outfit.

Gucci Padlock Floral Bag
$2,700 via Neiman Marcus

Florals for spring? Groundbreaking, I know, and I also know that Devil Wears Prada line is way-over used, but this bag is too pretty not to want. It’s dainty, both because of it’s size and the pretty floral print, but the gold studs also give it a bit of an edge.
