Throwback Thursday: Celebs and Their Stella McCartney Falabella Bags

A look back at the stars who adored the Falabella from the start

Stella McCartney entered the fashion world already a household name. After all, her father is Paul McCartney. Using her name for good, the designer tapped into her passion for animals and built her business on a foundation of conscious consumption. McCartney is a huge supporter of and advocate for PETA. It should come as no surprise then that the designer doesn’t use any animal materials in her collections such as leather or fur.

Despite producing handbags that aren’t leather, McCartney has established a cult following and gained a global reputation. Known for her chain-link, leather free designs, one of the designer’s most popular silhouettes is the Falabella, which has been around for over a decade and remains a favorite of celebs and street style stars alike. No other animal-free handbag brand can top the popularity of Stella McCartney and today we’re taking a look back at the celebs who adored the Falabella a decade ago. Do you remember the early days of this iconic bag?

Has Stella had any other success outside of the Falabella? It’s like to support anti-animal cruelty brands like her’s but the designs tend to be sub-par :/

Not for accessories imo. Some amazing RTW pieces have caught my eye or wallet over the years, though.

i hate the big falabella it is the epitome of bottomless pit, IMPOSSIBLE to find anything in something like that. But the smaller ones are nice, I love my falabella crossbody. The chain is beautiful and has held up wonderfully for the many years I’ve had it. It’s a nice casual crossbody by the pretty chain makes it feel special and I also love that it’s a little more below the radar than all the YSL loulous and Gucci marmont’s I see all over the place.

Yes I know what you mean but try using SLGs and pouches for all your items and things that your need frequently put in the zipper compartment. Life saver! Lol. Once you learn what is in what pouch it won’t be a hassle. 🙂

Still have my two Falabella’s and love them! I use a small pouch to hold small items inside bag.

Hi everyone. I just purchased a preloved Falabella in the small foldover, navy with gold hardware. It’s a stunner in this cobo and the condition is excellent. Can anyone tell me how well the gold hardware wears (does it fade and wear off, etc)? How do you clean the Shaggy Deer fabric? Thanks everyone.
