March Madness took over our conversation in a different manner than usual this year: everyone was talking about the women’s brackets. Now, I must lead by saying we are not a basketball family. We are a sports family, but Vlad and my inability to jump high, move quickly, or shoot a basketball really impacted our following of the sport.
However, I follow sports and am well-versed in the leadup and brackets of March Madness. This year was different. The women’s games were what was being discussed, namely Caitlin Clark.
And though we have given more attention to sports and the bags carried by sports players across the board, we haven’t focused on women’s sports, and it’s time that changed.
The women of the WNBA, active and newly drafted players, are fans of designer bags just like us. Caitlin Clark had a big Prada moment at the WNBA draft (props to team Prada for getting her dressed when everyone talked about her).
I am happy to see women in sports getting more of the spotlight and look forward to watching more basketball in this house!
I am hoping to see more coverage of their arrivals to WNBA games this summer. Purses and bags galore. I have followed the WNBA fashion on IG…the ladies have been carrying purses and bags for years. Finally, a highlight on women in sports and fashion. Trust me the tall girls have discourse on length of straps and handles.
Delightfully colorful and totally fun! Love it!
