You may have noticed that I was a little MIA (missing in action) last week. I spent most of the week driving from the West Coast to the East Coast. For those of you who have never experience a cross-country drive, it was a long one. My brother flew out to California and did the drive with me, which made it much more exciting. But leading up to the drive itself, I did a complete top to bottom cleaning of my apartment which included assessing all of my belongings. So as you can imagine I got caught up on my handbag collection.

While going through all of my bags, I was once again reminded about my lack of cross-body bags or even good/new shoulder bags. I do have several shoulder bags, but I think it is time for me to diversify my collection a bit. No reason not to, right?

When it comes to diversifying your handbag collection, you really can’t go wrong by adding a Rebecca Minkoff bag. For me, and what I am looking for, the Rebecca Minkoff Buckled Up Fold Over Bag would be a fantastic addition to my collection.

This cross-body bag (with 25″ strap drop) is made of leather and has a noticeable, yet not too over the top buckled strap. I love the zipper detailing at the front of the bag along with the tassel pulls. I said it a long time ago, but zipper detailing is huge right now and I don’t see it going anywhere anytime soon. Frankly, this doesn’t bother me one bit. This bag boasts just a hint of edginess while still being able to partner with so many different outfits. Buy through Shopbop for $395.
