Every once in a while, an item catches your eye that you never even knew you wanted, but suddenly, you need it, and that’s precisely what happened when Prada’s Satin Mules made their way from the Spring 2024 runway and onto my radar. Instant obsession.
Once the idea of owning them entered my mind, I couldn’t let it go, and the internet wouldn’t let me forget either. Day after, I was reminded of their existence, either by a targeted ad or a fashion girl I follow who also couldn’t seem to forget about the simple but chic, square-toed kitten heel mule.
Each time, I got the same pang of infatuation, and I finally decided to visit Prada just to see them, of course. That was two weeks ago, and the gorgeous baby blue box, complete with a navy ribbon, has been sitting neatly on my couch ever since.
Sure, a girl can dream, but she can also throw her hands in the air and succumb to her obsession. Just saying.
Spring Fling
Shown on the runway alongside the rest of the Spring 2024 collection, the satin mules are quintessentially Prada in the best possible way.
The shape is not new for the House, and neither is their fabrication. However, the 35mm architectural heel, shaped like the Prada triangle, is completely modern, offering that classic yet contemporary feel. This unique detail sold them for me in the end, and once I tried them on, I knew I would be leaving with them.
These mules are the epitome of chic, the kind of shoes that instantly make it look like you have your life together (we won’t tell if you don’t).
Arriving in four colors: black, brown, green, and orange, I went in with brown in mind. I almost pulled the trigger on the orange but ended up leaving with classic black.
There have been some nice days in New York so far, but I’m waiting for the right time (and place!) to take my lovely ladies out for a cha-cha. I will report back on their comfort, but walking around in-store felt manageable, thanks to their small heel.
I can’t wait to wear these with everything from jeans and tees for an effortlessly cool daytime look to more dressed-up outfits for nights out this spring and summer. Purchase via Neiman Marcus for $1,150.
“fashion girls” 🤣🤣🤣 — immediately turns me off to this product.
“Fashion girls” must not comprehend what looking good is bc those are mad hideous. Also you want to have style, not be “in fashion”. This is something Americans will nvr understand and that’s why they end up looking the tacky way they do. Europeans would nvr even attempt to care about what’s in or out.
Again with your trash talk. Give it up. Why are you even reading any purseblog pages? You only ever make nasty comments. I have second hand embarrassment for you.
Have you ever heard of the term “Eurotrash”? Your comment is equally as insulting and inaccurate as this term. No need to make generalizations. All types of styles can be found in all countries.
Can you just quit with the broad disparaging remarks about Americans? What’s wrong with you?
I like them but will not buy them because they are satin, I worry it will not hold up! I hope they do for you!
No thanks. I don’t want to look like a Renaissance damsel in distress.
Love the Prada mules, they’re a fashion must-have
I’m so curious about these. They look so cute, but the heel looks like it would be uncomfortable to wear.
I only wore them around the store and they felt ok! Will report back when I wear out and about, but I don’t foresee them being the best walking shoes. More like uber to dinner and uber to the cocktail lounge then uber home! 🙂
Do these mules stay on your feet as you run around town? I had a pair in this style and couldn’t keep them on my feet. I lost a lot of money on them.
The trick is not to run. 😂 These are like slippers. For short dainty walks. Car to dinner and back etc me thinks.
LOL. Agree. As little flipping and flopping as possible. Of course it’s about 29 degrees this morning in New York, but hopefully I can wear them next week!
Did you purchase them or Prada “gifted” them to you? Do share
The triangle heel is adorable but the front looks like a hoof
I bought them.
They look very narrow. And I’m getting hoof vibes like someone else posted.
