Fashion as a whole is relatively unpredictable—one season something is in, while the next it’s suddenly out. However if there’s one thing to be sure of when it comes to fashion, it’s that everything that’s old soon becomes new again. Fashion is cyclical, and that’s incredibly apparent in 2019 where belt bags and logo love reminiscent of the late 90s and early 2000s have reigned supreme amongst our favorite designer’s collections. Cross body bags are also wildly popular, making up a large portion of the current handbag market. Though if Prada’s newest bags are any indication, this may be all about to change.
For Fall 2019, Prada introduced a refreshing collection of simple, yet chic structured top handle bags. Prada fans are likely to embrace these bags, which embody Prada’s brand DNA effortlessly. Some of these bags were on the larger side while others were a bit smaller. Prada also introduced bags in its signature nylon as well as silk mini-bags with floral appliqués. Prada’s ‘Bride of Frakenstein’ theme was also displayed on some of these silk mini-bags, which bore graphic zombie-like prints.

OMG! where to begin?! The only saving grace for this mammoth disaster is the ever trusty nylon tote in slide 13, which I would buy in a flash. Everything else looks like a haphazardly mixed horror show with some homemade crafts thrown in.
My first thought was my cat would tear those dangling flower stems off in 10 seconds.
Wow I love these! Well, not the hairy ones, the ones with flowers nor the ones with the print, but all the plain ones made of leather were very nice imo! Even the fabric ones were kind of cool! I’d wear them with a sporty look!
Does nr 17 come with a shoulder strap? I want that one!!!
How many Sesame Street characters had to die to make these bags? Sigh….. RIP Cookie Monster, Elmo, Big Bird….

The leather triple compartment bags are amazing design! I could without the rest.

The furry bags are a hard pass. They look childish.

Finally! I am so glad to see that there are NO hideous giant logos! I love the oversized four-pocket nylon bag. The smooth-leather flap bag is lovely too with a nice hardware closure.
The leather bags are almost great. But looks like the corners would start bending and creasing. The ones with furry pockets need to be thrown into an incinerator ASAP. And the flower applique ones are too Etsy for my taste.
…#13 looks like someone slapped slices of bread on it
To one it looked like compartments meant to hold 4 sandwiches. It didn’t inspire any love…just hunger. 🙂
