Louis Vuitton to open Kusama pop-up shops, including one in NYC

In case you just can’t get enough of Infinitely Kusama, Louis Vuitton‘s capsule collection in collaboration with Japanese modern artist and polka dot enthusiast Yayoi Kusama, you’ll soon have even more ways to shop. Not only will customized windows roll out to Louis Vuitton boutiques across the globe, with the Kusama collection available in all of Vuitton’s 463 boutiques, but LV will also open up a handful of Kusama-only pop-up shops. If you’re sick of the hype for this collection (which some of you seem to be), then perhaps this post isn’t for you. All others: More details after the jump!

So here’s the skinny: The first pop-up shop will be inside the Louis Vuitton Soho flagship in New York City, which will debut on July 10, according to Women’s Wear Daily. After that, pop-ups inside or adjacent to LV boutiques will open in Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong, with a second Tokyo pop-up inside the Dover Street Market in the Ginza shopping district. The round of pop-ups will conclude with two department store locations in Europe: one inside the Printemps flagship in Paris and another one, measuring up at over 1000 square feet, in Selfridge’s in London. Those boutiques will open on August 23rd and 24th, respectively. WWD didn’t publish dates for the Asian locations, but indicated that they’ll be opening in the intervening five weeks between New York and Europe.

So now that you’ve seen the whole collection, know when it’s going to show up and have had some time to think about it, what’s your impression? Do you think it will be as popular as the Murakami collaboration, or are you ready for to stop seeing spots?
