Timothée Chalamet Carries Not Yet Released Louis Vuitton

From artistic director Virgil Abloh's collection, this bag is already making waves

I still consider myself young, but I’m not the young that I perceive I am in my head. It’s funny because I assumed I would feel differently at this age (I’m 35), but typically ways I find that I’m older are silly and not quite what I imagined: like being confused by how new Apps work and being oblivious to the hottest new young celebrity couple. Timothée Chalamet is one of those people that has a massive following and is one of the new it-kids (he’s currently dating Lily-Rose Depp). I’ve seen a movie he’s in but I still feel old.

Right now he’s in the crop of celebs that is all the rage and he’s been seen carrying a new Louis Vuitton men’s bag designed by Virgil Abloh that has the fashion world excited. Timothée has been spotted smiling from ear to ear and very casually and cool-y carrying the Louis Vuitton SS19 Soft Trunk in Absolute Black. This bag is set to have a January release, but he’s a friend of the house so he gets to try it out earlier. And he loves this bag, he’s been spotted with it for a while now and has carried it on many outings. Seems like he’s one of the guys that is ready to make man bags happen on the daily again.

Virgil Abloh’s first collection for Louis Vuitton was met with differing opinions, I personally still haven’t been able to decide my final thoughts on it all, but I do like this bag and I am intrigued by what’s to follow. The all black leather version has a bit of a natural slouch to it which wears nicely and its small pop of orange stands out just enough.

I always love black leather versions of bags and this is no different. This bag and actor are both highly sought after; Timothée Chalamet has incredibly loyal fans I’ve learned. Pricing is said to be $4,550 upon release and based on other Virgil Abloh pieces, it will quickly be able to be resold for nearly double.
