Earlier this year Louis Vuitton presented its Fall 2021 collection at one of Paris’ most iconic landmarks, the Louvre. The setting was the perfect backdrop for the collection that would appear on the runway. Overall the presentation was bright, light and airy, featuring a slew of new bags all bearing nods to ancient Roman and Grecian times.
The Age of Enlightenment was a big source of inspiration for creative director Nicolas Ghesquière, who looked back to the purity of the Golden Age while designing the collection. The overall aesthetic of the collection was more literal than we’ve seen from Ghesquière the past few years, featuring artwork by Italian Atelier Fornasetti. Today we’re getting a closer look at new bags from the collection, and more, in brand’s just-released ad campaign. See more below and discover now via Louis Vuitton.
The Campaign
Louis Vuitton presents a selection of goods from its Fall 2021 collection in its brand new ad campaign. Photographed in Normandy, France the campaign is meant to reference a different era, eternalizing the Maison’s iconic spirit of travel.
The New Fall 2021 Bags
This collection introduces new shapes and silhouettes while honing in on House icons and fan favorites. One of the collection’s new designs, and a standout that is sure to be a hit, the Troca appears as a softer sister to the Petite Malle, bearing the same lock mechanism, which is a focal point of the bag. It comes in an MM size and a PM size.
A selection of bags throughout the collection also incorporate delicate artwork by the Italian Atelier Fornasetti. The designs meld together Fornasetti’s exquisitely illustrated world with Nicolas Ghesquière’s contemporary designs. The artwork is featured throughout on new shapes as well as old favorite like the Capucines, Onthego, Dauphine and more.
No, this is not for me.
For me, the best bags are the cubic trunk in monogram canvas and the stunning Capucines. ?
Not a fan of the Fornicetti pieces at all
I like the Troca, but the strap looks a little short.
I like it too but only bag itself as I am not sure about the strap. It looks unbalanced and cheap.
Damn. That Troca is stunning
Looks terrible
oh gosh – what a hotness
That Capuccine is actually gorgeous
At least Kris Wu no longer Louis Vuittons face!!
