When Apple floods the market with another ingenious mainstream product, the launch guarantees two things. Firstly, it will be tremendously successful. Over 300,000 sold on the first day attests to that. Secondly, a plethora of accessories is going to follow very closely. The mobile device accessory market pulls in massive millions in sales annually and it is only logical that the big fashion houses will try to get a piece of the pie.

Louis Vuitton is usually very quick to follow suit with their own line of luxurious tech accessories. Like with the iPhone, LV now released their own variety of cases for the popular iPad. The Louis Vuitton iPad Cases are available in classic Monogram and Damier canvas flavors at a price of $366.

Personally, I am going to stick with the light $30 Apple case for my iPad. I can not justify paying nearly as much for a case as I paid for the hardware it is supposed to protect.

I like those cases better than the iPad.

Those are not consistent at all! The opening on top comes in different sizes for monogram and damier? Also, both could use a realignment of the logos… the monogram should have only two columns of LVs and the damier.. well.. just one “Louis Vuitton Paris” would be enough, IMHO! Then I guess I would be happy to have one in Damier Graphite! Sure I would have to buy the ipad afterwards.. ahah!

I agree, these seem a bit off. (fb)

Those are the official photos from LV, but I see the differences as well! I like the Damier Graphite too

I’m not saying otherwise Megs… I think those are either mockups or an early prototype (and I’m having “Next Generation iPhone Revealed” kind of flashbacks as I’m typing… people saying it could not be the final design and the discussion around details!).. Oh well.. Let’s just wait and see! 🙂

I have to agree w/Vlad. I’ll stick with the iPad case that opens like a book because I think it would be a pain in the toukus to have to slide the pad out every time I wanted to use. The “book” cover is just easier. (fb)

it would be better if it were a case that could stay on and protect the ipad like the apple care or other similar ones… like these http://www.happyowlstudio.com/

I would definitely purchase the mono ipad case if it were in my budget and if I had an ipad. lol
I plan to get my husband one for his upcoming birthday but I am certain he would not be care about the case.

I’m so sick of LV Monogram bags, I can’t stand it anymore, is everywhere, everyone has either a fake or a real Vuitton, or both. (with the classic monogram I mean, because I appreciate other Vuitton designs just as any other brand). Hence, I prefer the Damier canvas one. (fb)
