The micro-textured cowhide leather, known as Epi leather, made its triumphant return to the runway back in May, but it dates all the way back to the 1920s when it was first used on luggage during the mid-20th century.

Classic Meets Contemporary

Cheekily named the Hide and Seek bag, this new shape from the Maison is equal parts classic, crafted from Epi leather, and contemporary. Introduced in on-trend bold colors like lilac, lime green, and orange alongside neutrals like blush and black, the Hide and Seek bag was designed with Louis Vuitton’s heritage in mind. Some odes to Louis Vuitton’s archival roots include the bag’s closure, which is a leather version of the brand’s recognizable S-Lock.

Then there’s the rolled Toron handle, which refers to the process of how the handle is created. Smooth leather finishes line the edges of the bag, which feature a removable and adjustable strap. Overall dimensions are 8.3″ W x 5.9″. L x 3.1″ D with an open interior and one small slit pocket. Retail is $2,670.
