If you’ve been a Louis Vuitton devotee for years than you may remember a version of the Bleeker Box Bag existing amongst the Vuitton line-up. The once discontinued bag is back for Fall/Winter 2018 with a few updates to boot. Louis Vuitton fans are no strangers to super structured, tiny bags that don’t hold much, so its not surprising that the Bleeker Box Bag has returned.
Modeled after a cube vanity case, the Bleeker Box Bag is an incredibly ladylike representation of Louis Vuitton’s historic trunk designs. The bag is super sleek and very structured, as you would expect from a design inspired by classic Vuitton trunks. Unlike a large trunk, this bag is teeny tiny, with dimensions of 4.7 H x 4.7 W x 4.7 D, it won’t even hold your iPhone. According to apple.com, an iPhone XS screen measures in at 5.8″ so even your tiny iPhone won’t cut it. This bag just might be the mini bag of all mini bags. There is however an interior card slot pocket, but that’s about it.
The bag has a top handle so that it can be hand carried, which is very dainty and ladylike. There is also a removable crossbody strap that’s also adjustable. Who is carrying this bag and to what beats me, but this bag definitely works best for a formal event, and with a price tag of $3,150, it’s a steep one to pay for a bag you won’t often use. It is however incredibly cute!
Currently, the Bleeker Box Bag is Available in Epi Leather, both in classic black as well as a color blocked version. Additionally it comes in Monogram Vernis Leather in Cerise Red or Rose Ballerine. Louis Vuitton’s website states that availability is limited, and all four versions of the bag are currently unavailable on Louis Vuitton’s website.
