Louis Vuitton released its Fall/Winter 2019 ad campaign late last week and we’re smitten. A few new shapes were featured as well as new iterations of shapes from previous seasons. As we’ve come to expect from fashion brands these days, there was no shortage of mini bags, and the brand’s iconic monogram was pictured throughout as well.
The stylistic details of the collection also include patchwork, patterns and interesting layering. Overall the collection is said to express Nicolas Ghesquière’s interpretation of the Centre Pompidou Museum in Paris, which features a myriad of complex and unique exhibitions. Notable designs include an even tinier version of the new Mini Luggage Bag which was spotted in monogram canvas featuring a buckle detailing. Also, an interesting new cross body saddle bag was worn by models in both solid leather and monogram canvas. View the entire campaign below.

Some of the best work Nicolas Ghesquière has created for Louis Vuitton.
I adore that little saddle!
This campaign was more relatable than the “circus” that Gucci recently launched. Loved everything about it!
This is such a lackluster campaign in my opinion. It looks like a low budget instagram shoot.
The bags are not that interesting, and the clothes are atrocious
# 3 is a nice bag but i don’t like the two belt like buckles – makes it look tacky
Not too bad
I’m sure the pricing is astronomical though
I didn’t notice the bags most the time cuz of the strange outfits/narrative.
A few of the “throw-back” bags are very cute, but I wonder about pricing. And I agree that the models’ out-there outfits upstaged most of the purses.
nice
Absolutely nothing classy or upscale about this collection whatsoever. But it appears as though top luxury brands are more interested in promoting shock value and silliness in hopes of appealing to a younger market. This is neither creative nor artistic. It’s a mess and about time Nicolas Ghesquière moves on
It takes a lot of exposure to a LV piece for me to start liking it. So, I am not feeling them at the moment.
But I do love those blue boots.
ditto
Oh, I’ve seen worse campaigns and clothes. The clothes are not really meant to be worn together, but are shown so one could chose to wear a coat, belt, skirt, etc. with their “normal” clothes. Actually, some of the clothes even look quite normal i.e. 6,9,12.
The clothes remind me of the 1980s but those Mary Janes with the white eyelets…. swoon! I like the bags too. Then again, I lived (and loved) the 80s the first time round.
