2025 was the year that cemented ladylike-core as a fashion archetype. A stark contrast to Y2K maximalism, the lady aesthetic derives from the fashion of the 1940s and ’50s—think long opera-style gloves, classic silhouettes like midi-skirts, and Dior’s New Look of the 1950s, which focused on hyper-feminine silhouettes and the classic cinched waist.
Of course, ladylike-core is not made complete without the perfect ladybag, and the Spring 2026 runways proved that all things lady would continue to reign this year, from Miuccia Prada’s demure long silk or leather gloves, which were paired with pouches or the latest must-have bag from Prada, the Passage, which further emphasized the ladylike silhouette.
Elsewhere, designers like Jonathan Anderson at Dior and Louise Trotter at Bottega Veneta gave the ladybag a new look. Anderson paired it with a bow, while Trotter took Bottega’s classic Intrecciato weave and paired it with the feminine appeal of a frame bag. Overall, the ladybags of the season were sleek, sometimes structured, but other times semi-structured.
While we have a little more time before the Spring 2026 collections hit stores, there are plenty of great bags to help you nail a look that is so ladylike…
Khaite Cate Bag
If you’re looking for a chic, ladylike bag that feels modern yet classic at the same time, there is no better choice than the Khaite Cate bag. It will instantly take ladylike-core to the next level, elevating your outfit in an instant.
Hermès Vintage Kelly
Of course, we had to give a shout-out to the Kelly bag—the OG ladybag. We’d opt for a vintage iteration, and this chocolate brown box 28 is perfection.
Alaïa Le Teckel Tote Bag
When it comes to trending shapes, Alaïa consistently delivers. The Le Teckel tote combines the chic appeal of a ladybag with the trending east/west silhouette.
Bottega Veneta Basket Bag
For Spring 2026, Louise Trotter brings the lady back to Bottega, but you can achieve the look now with the Basket Bag, which features a longer strap and is removable for added functionality.
Prada Double Medium Saffiano Bag
For the ladylike corporate girl on the go, the classic Prada Double is the perfect choice. It combines the sophisticated appeal of a feminine silhouette with the function and durability of Prada Saffiano.

Of the bags featured all except one are made in Italy/ France. Prada only says imported with no details on where its made, their kack of transparency on manufacturing details means they are not getting my $
Hmm, and it shown “Imported” when the location is in US, but when i switch to Italy and Singapore, it not shown.. Interesting.
Imported usually means China in the US.
If lady-like is the flavor of the day, it is either not going to last or it’s being appropriated to a comic extent. Maybe the tradwife thing was what puts this on the radar but all that tradwife thing is bizarre to begin with. Simply look around, you cannot have Laboubous, Kadashians, Naked Dressing, midriffs baring etc. abound while thinking people are going for “lady-like” in its normal definition. Cosplay? Maybe. But the “lady-like” aesthetic is definitely limited to a very specific set at very specific settings (as it should be). Don’t get me wrong, I love this vibe. But I am not believing this would catch on to be a trend. I have family and friends’ children from Millennials to Gen Z to Gen Alpha – no, they are not going for “lady-like” and there’s nothing wrong with it. I am happy where everyone is.
Great, yes I believe you are correct and I was looking at the photos of the lovely somewhat ethereal lady like creatures thinking I would never be able look like that no matter how much I may wish to …..so nice to read your post
It is so very kind of you. Happy New Year!
Lady-like. No!
My vote.
More proof that the Hermès Kelly, especially in box calfskin, is standing the test of time! 👏
