Abandoning traditionalism for all things playful, quirky, and fun, Loewe’s Pre-Fall 2023 collection is a delight. A further exploration of Loewe’s ever-evolving aesthetic, Jonathon Anderson combines his unique vision with Loewe’s consistent commitment to craft and leather. Revealed in new images and launching today on Loewe.com, Pre-Fall 2023 introduces a variety of new bags, and we’re giving you the scoop.
The Classics, the New and the Noteworthy
Few brands boast the understated luxury that Loewe under Jonathon Anderson does, and this season is no different. In true Loewe form, Pre-Fall 2023 brings new life to brand classics like the Puzzle Bag and the Flamenco. Bold designs meet unique textures, and new silhouettes are added to existing lines. The Puzzle is reinvented as an oversized tote, showcasing unique, origami-inspired lines and cool textures; it joins the classic shape this season. The Hammock bag is also reinvented the season, said to be a deconstructed version of the original Hammock bag. The result? A new silhouette that’s modern and fresh but still possesses that classic Loewe feel as it’s finished with a knotted calfskin strap, showcasing the House’s roots in leathercraft.
Then, there are the new House classics like the Font Tote, and the Paseo bag which are given updates for Pre-Fall as well. Images below reveal the Paseo Satchel, which features the same classic Loewe Flamenco coiled knot detailing fitted onto an elegant flap bag with a short top handle. That purple! Lovely
I may have to eat the words I posted yesterday in a forum about being in low spend mode these days.
Loewe’s designs are top-tier!
Where are those who criticise the mega logos? In this brand if you want them you can find them but if you want understated luxury, you can also have it. But all is craft and good designs. Jonathan, once again. Thank you.
In these photos you don’t see one of the prints that inspired the collection. And it is that of the paintings of Maruja Mallo, a surrealist painter of the Generation of 27 who was forgotten for two reasons, for being progressive and for being a woman. Thank you JW Anderson for valuing artists unfairly treated by history!!
