New Choo: The Jimmy Choo Alina

I practically am having to drag myself away from the 80+ moving boxes to look at my computer. Oh, hello PurseBlog, I have missed you. And you know what else I have missed? Checking out every new bag hitting the online world. You would think after over five years of writing about bags I would be sick of it, but that is not the case.

There wasn’t much new showing up on my favorite website haunts (obviously aside from the fabulous bags going down the runway at Milan Fashion Week right now). But I did find a little gem from Jimmy Choo. And I am liking what I am seeing. The Jimmy Choo Alina is quite simple but somehow drawing me in.

There is something very familiar about this design (a mixture of Alexander Wang and Givenchy maybe?). It is a no fuss bag. The overall look is nothing short of plain, but plain in a way that is not overly boring. And that task is hard to complete. The tote features thick grainy leather and there is a snake skin panel that helps add an eye-catching touch to the front of the bag. A clever addition is an internal pocket that is accessible without opening the bag (which would easily come in handy).

Some may look at this bag and see three B’s: big, black, and bland. But I see beautiful. Everyone needs a great black bag in their wardrobe and this would be a great handbag staple. As shown above, look how amazing it pairs with leopard heels. Buy via Jimmy Choo for $1895.
