Fashion fiends and streetwear aficionados buckle up; the much-anticipated adidas x Gucci launch is finally here! The collection, which was first teased upon us at the brand’s fall 2022 runway show, marries two historic and world-renowned motifs into one, bringing together two words: fashion and sports. While the collection is inherently luxurious, it still possesses the streetwear feel that adidas is known for, with bright prints and bold hues combining each brand’s heritage. Clothing and accessories ooze a ’70s feel, as the collection pulls inspiration from the past, meant to feel nostalgic yet contemporary at the same time. There are a myriad of amazing pieces to discover, but unlike previous sportswear collaborations (think North Face x Gucci) there are just as many bags to lust over as well. The bags feel less like an afterthought and more like the main event.
A Juxtapositon of Two Worlds
Like the rest of the collection, the bags of adidas x Gucci perfectly meld two beloved brands to make one, containing iconic elements and motifs from each. The interlocking G, Horsebit, Gucci Web, and GG Monogram canvas from the House of Gucci, and the Trefoil motif and three stripes from adidas. While at first glance, the collection can feel like a bit of a surprise, overall, it was really about a meeting of the minds, as both brands have a shared passion for innovation and sustainability.
Gucci’s key shapes were chosen to get the adidas makeover with this collection, with some of the focus being put on Gucci’s Beloved lines. Shapes like the Horsebit appear with co-branding, such as the adidas Trefoil and the classic Gucci Web. Meanwhile, duffle bags of varying sizes, which are an ode to sportswear bags, are given a colorful finish with bold prints and co-branding. If you’re the type of girl or guy to wear sneakers for nights out, then this collection’s mini bags are for you. Small bags with chain straps are shown in Gucci GG Supreme canvas, feeling dressed up yet casual at the same time. Discover the entirety of the collection via Gucci, or shop our favorite looks below.
I am a huge Adidas & Stella McCarty x Adidas fan (I own way too much of it) so I was initially excited for this. That was until I saw the prices. For a true fan like me, I’m bummed. I refuse to pay $570 for an Adidas t-shirt. Oh, well. On to the next.
This is atrocious
Clearly, people will buy anything with a Gucci logo on it.
Same as Louis Vuitton x Nike( over $3000 btw ), Dior x Birkenstock and Balenciaga x Adidas etc. What do you say?
Same crap.

I love how you try to justify a basic marketing move by swallowing the “innovation and sustainability” narrative these brands are shoving down our throats.
Personally not my cup of tea. Before this was Prada x Adidas, Balenciaga x Adidas…so…
