Introducing Gucci Blondie: the Latest Revival from the House of Gucci

What's old continues to be new again

The deep dive into the archives of heritage luxury bags continues to be a major push for nearly every luxury brand. Much of this move towards what’s old is new can be attributed to Alessandro Michele’s work at the House of Gucci. His exploration into the Gucci archives continues to be an ever-evolving narrative, revisited season after season.

Gucci Love Parade

For Gucci Love Parade, Alessandro examines the House’s history yet again, fusing new with old and effortlessly bridging the gap between eras through his lust-worthy creations. This collection sees the return of an archival design, one that is defined by its round signature Interlocking G, which can be traced back to patent documents filed by the House in 1971. It’s this symbolic emblem that takes center stage on the new Gucci Blondie bag, which made its debut on the runway in Los Angeles late last year, ready to be discovered and loved by a new generation without compromising the past.

The Gucci Blondie

The present-day iteration of the Gucci Blondie allows this archival design to feel reflective of the House’s heritage while remaining contemporary and fresh. Its shape is defined by clean, curved lines and, of course, its interlocking GG hardware. The line spans multiple sizes, colors, and fabrications, from leather and suede to GG canvas.

Opt for the Gucci Blondie messenger for a more casual feel, which can be worn with either a leather strap or the accompanying Gucci Web strap ($3,890). For a day-to-night feel, there’s a smaller shoulder bag that includes a chain strap and a leather strap, or it can be carried by hand as a clutch ($3,500). For those who don’t need to carry much more than their cell phones plus a few other daily essentials, there’s a miniature version that features interchangeable and adjustable leather and Web straps ($2,900).

The Gucci Blondie comes to life in new campaign images, presented as a love letter to New York. Discover more below and shop Gucci Blondie now via Gucci.
