While I’ve definitely streamlined what it is that I carry day to day and often can get away with a smaller bag, there are some times when a canvas tote is just the necessary-evil accessory to carrying a mini bag. I know I’m not the only one who gets more than their fair share of use out of those free canvas tote bags. I often have no choice but to tote around some bigger items with me, like my computer, me DSLR camera, or both. It goes along with what I do! I’m constantly on the move, and if I’m out and about for work, I’m often running between meetings, collection previews, photo shoots and a million other thingss! I have plenty of larger bags, like a Louis Vuitton Neverfull and a Chloé Dilan Tote from a few season ago, but I just don’t love them like I love all of my newer bags, and so I throw my bare necessities into a smaller crossbody bag and if I need it, my larger must-haves in a canvas tote. When I spotted a Gucci tote that was both beautiful and functional (and maybe could replace my canvas), I was intrigued. This bag is big, there’s no doubt about that—it easily fits an iPad or MacBook Air, but also fit my 13in MacBook. It has multiple interior pockets, including two zippered pockets and one slit pocket, which is ideal for a bag that’s this big. One problem with totes is that they often turn into a black hole and it’s so easy to lose your things in them. Unlike most totes, this bag has a top zip, which is another major plus in my book, especially when you live in a big city like New York and are carrying your belongings on the street and into the subway versus toting them around in a car.
Though this bag is definitely considered a tote, its framed shape makes it different from most others of its kind. Crafted in beautiful, supple leather which soaks up the deep red color, the RE(BELLE) tote is simply stunning. Antique gold-toned hardware completes the bag, and I adore how you can carry it either with the GG logo facing out or the iconic Gucci lion head.
