Goyard’s Villette Tote Gets the Ultimate Anniversary Makeover

Anniversary celebrations for its 170th year are winding down...

As the year ends, Goyard’s 170th year comes to a close, with it, its celebratory limited editions. All year long, the Parisian Maison, known for its historical roots in trunk-making, has dropped limited edition versions of some of its most beloved bags, celebrating 170 years in business.

Over two and a half centuries since its inception, Maison Goyard remains one of the world’s oldest luxury brands still specializing in trunks and leather goods. Its roots remain strong, and the celebration of its history continues this holiday season with a new, limited edition carryall that is sure to entice collectors.

The Other Canvas by Goyard

While most immediately think of the Maison’s iconic Goyardine Canvas, which dates all the way back to 1892, Goyard’s line-up of bags is also home to another canvas. The other canvas by Goyard, this unique woven canvas, was created by Robert Goyard during the travel boom of the late 1960s.

Designed to enhance the brand’s ever-growing line-up of travel bags, since 1965, jacquard has completely reinvented the emblematic Goyard chevron. Rooted in history and a true ode to the Maison’s storied past, this material is celebrated in honor of 170 years with a reinvented version of the Goyard Villette Tote.

A Colorway to Remember

The Villette Tote, loved for its distinct box-like shape and the perfect blend of both structure and softness, has been a go-to for Goyard collectors since its release earlier this decade. First launching in Goyardine with a screen-printed French Bulldog, the Villette Tote is inspired by the brand’s Méditerranée Beach Bag.

Now, a new version in stunning khaki Jacquard and a special PM size join the rest of the brand’s limited run of Khaki Goyardine Canvas. Discover more now via Goyard.
