The Viral Chanel Purse Spray Is Back, and This New One Will Sell Out!

The $200 Chanel bag charm is back with a refillable fragrance, two chains, and a golden new look, and yes, I think it’s worth it.

From the first time I spotted the Chanel Purse Spray, I was sold. I know I don’t need a small, refillable perfume attached to my bag, but there was something so superfluous but also fun that spoke to me. It felt so simple yet so ingenious. And because prices across the luxury market continue to skyrocket, adding a charm with two uses feels almost appropriate.

This rendition is the next one sure to sell out, as it always does, and this time Chanel updates its beloved Purse Spray with a fully brushed-gold case, a gold Chanel charm, and two chain straps, allowing it to be attached to your bag or worn at the wrist. As for the scent, well, it’s Gabrielle Chanel Essence.

The Scent

Per Chanel, the scent is described as “voluptuous floral composition that revolves around 4 flowers: intense jasmine, radiant and fruity ylang-ylang, fresh and sparkling orange blossom, and creamy, highly feminine Grasse tuberose.” But to me, it smells both light and expensive. Not gentle enough to barely leave a scent, but one that feels a bit inviting—a mixture of one that I could say my grandma wore (but in a good way, not the bad way).

There are two additional cartridges, so you can refill when you finish one. The scent is really nice, but you can also buy other standalone scents from Chanel designed for the Purse Spray cartridge. See, it’s kinda clever, isn’t it?

Is It Worth It?

Now, I know some were rather annoyed when I said this is only $200, and I hear you on that. But hear me out: in the luxury world right now, prices are continuing to steadily climb at a rate that is hard to grasp or afford. And with that, a little piece of Chanel that works as a bag charm, gives you a nice scent, and can be refilled for $200, seems less insane. Plus, I got my daughter and her friend 2 cake pops (each), and a Grande Strawberry Acai Refresher yesterday for a whopping $28, so at this rate, I call this a good purchase.

Buy before it sells out at Chanel for $200!
