And just like that, Matthieu Blazy’s first pieces for Chanel have hit boutiques.
While Chanel’s Spring 2026 collection gave us a first look at Blazy’s vision for the House, we now have a further glimpse of what his more commercial designs will look like with the launch of his Spring pre-collection. Blazy has refined his approach to everyday luxury, and this collection proves it.
Matthieu Blazy’s First Chanel Pre-Collection
Revisiting Chanel’s most important House codes, the collection is built of modern wardrobe essentials like sporty knits, fluid silks, cool denim, and classic tweed. The collection is further elevated by an array of new bags. From soft, relaxed shoppers and new iterations of icons like the Classic 11.12 bag, the bags are highly wearable and will entice Chanel lovers.
Along with the much-anticipated Chanel’s Preppy Coco, which we now know will retail for $5,100, comes a similarly structured mini bowler with the same thin, elongated straps. The collection includes iconic Chanel signifiers like sequins and the Chanel Camellia, done the Blazy way.

Chanel Spring 2026 Pre-Collection Highlights and Prices

Dull and uninspiring
Wow! None of them
As the owner of 10 Chanel bags, I will not buy another or anything else Chanel until we have a new designer, and a female designer as Karl Lagerfeld intended.

Interested in the views of those who still shop at Chanel. Do you still see value in the $11k plus Chanel flap? Genuinely interested in who is still shopping there. The price rises keep coming yet the design is so ubiquitous.
I’m very privileged to have a lot of disposable income, and I still enjoy buying bags at Chanel. The price is not an issue for me—and I know I am very lucky.
I still love Chanel. I agree that the prices are ridiculous. I still shop there and have no plans to stop but I will be very discriminating with what I do buy.
I have everything I want with Chanel bags and will only buy special ones ie the leopard 25 from 26A. I still spend $100k+ /year on RTW and shoes. For reference, I’m 50 and Chanel just fits my style and life as of now. Things could change as with anything fashion. But I 100% agree with you that $11k for a mass produced classic flap is bonkers.
I love the 25 with perforated leather. 😍
Ugh. So disappointing.
The double handle Chanel flap seems so lazy at that price point. Especially, with the stitched handles in the front. Terrible.
I love Chanel, but so far the best design of the newer ones is the 25bag. Versatile and wearable. I watched the show and Blazy has some amazing pieces, but hasn’t come up with something better zhan the 25bag.
It’s concerning when even the website bags have crooked flaps
Not worth it! Blazy’s version of Chanel is rather tragic. Looking forward to adding vintage pieces to my collection.
Wow so uninspiring!
