Just as the cool breeze begins to show itself during the early morning hours every September, Chanel drops its Autumn/Winter collection lookbook. While the runway show that took place months prior offers a first look at the collection and its overall direction, the genuine excitement for loyalists comes when the whole collection hits.
When the Fall 2024 collection walked the runway, fans were blissfully unaware of the news that would drop three months later—Virginie Viard was leaving Chanel. In hindsight, the direction of the Fall 2024 collection is rather fitting; it is an ode to Deaville and the roots that Chanel has there.
The collection includes significant references to the 1920s and the 1970s—two decades that are incredibly important to the House. The bags this season are wearable and will most definitely strike a chord with collectors for that reason.
The classic 11.12 is reinvigorated in stunning tweeds, bold colors, and more, while camera cases are fitted with exterior (and very on-trend) cargo pockets. The color palette is warm and fitting for the season, with pops of color like pink and golden yellow.
Below are 15 of our favorite bags. For more, join the chatter on tPF and check out the entire collection via Chanel.
The Classic Flap is $10,800 for both leather and fabric!?! I’m dumbfounded.
^Dumbfounded because you’re not the target audience.
No need to be obnoxious to her
Well, you’re rude. I’m dumbfounded because it’s ridiculous to charge the same price for leather and fabric. I absolutely could afford it, but I’m not going to pay because I have more respect for how I spend my money.
p Diddy and andrew tate also elite🤣🤣 very arrogant people in this thread… bet none of you bought your bag with your own money, but boyfriend, daddy sugar daddy’s
What a snooty answer
Sorry, but it’s the truth!
I wonder how much that mini popcorn bag is. It’s time for me to bring out my $24 Betsy Johnson popcorn bags
The guitar minaudare one is amazing
The best one in a long time but over $20,000😱 but crazy as it sounds it will probably appreciate $$$
I know I may not be in the majority, but I just do not understand the continued draw to this brand, especially as prices continue to rise while overall construction/quality continue to decline (especially with hardware). In addition, the brand just never seems to evolve. While I remain excited to see Bottega’s and other design house’s seasonal offerings, I remain apathetic to Chanel, nor am I ever drawn into their store to window shop. I am at the age where I detest logos which this brand consistently leads with…at a premium…and I avoid highly replicated bags like the plague.
“Avoid highly replicated bags like the plauge”… Honey, ALL bags are repped now 🤣🤣🤣 Tell me, what bags do you *not* think are repped? I’ll wait.
Relax. Everyone is entitled to a thought or an opinion without your passing judgement. And yes keep waiting to share until you can speak to
Others with some kindness and respect.

I have no respect for people who have “passing judgment” about chanel bags.
I’m calling out and shaming bad snobbish behavior!
I’m calling out THEIR judgment about fakes. I have no respect for people who have that kind of S n o b b y judgment about Chanel bags.
I like coco handles a lot, and classic flaps.
The tote( shopping bag) is nice in this collection but the rest I don’t like.
I don’t need anymore classic flaps but I love their RTW and shoes.
Agree! House also has some fabulous fine jewelry (that I can only afford on the secondary market)! Comments re current price vs. quality/value and lack of evolution were specific to their bags. I don’t feel the need to have more than one classic flap in collection even though I do like some of the tweed colorways.
I really enjoy Chanel’s collections, but the prices are just too high for what you get. I can’t justify spending that much money for a bag… there is just no actual value that determines these prices. It’s all marketing and perceived exclusivity at this point. I’ll continue to enjoy the bags I have and admire the new ones from afar.
Most of these look so dated and cheap. Too much shiny gold hardware. I hope their new designer does a better job.
Totally agreed! Their bags in the recent years don’t make me excited anymore, not to mention their crazily inflated prices!
I have been leaning toward SLGs which are more classic and at a much better price point.
I stopped by the boutique last month and the only thing I liked was a key case. I was disappointed with what they had in stock.
None of these spark joy.
the Mini flap bag is super cute, not sure gonna fit a normal sized phone, but the price is not cute.
Only adorable items are the shearling ones but I live in FL so not quite for me.
Agree. And it’s probably the lighting, but all the leather ones look like plastic/vinyl to me.
Same🌴
Super cute w/denim! May rock it in Cali anyway!
I think this collection is fun and has some good updates. I used to be loyal chanel fan 15-20 years ago but since their price hikes I have moved on to other brands. I really like the small flap with the updated chain strap- I feel like the strap is a fresh update the flap needed- I find the traditional one old looking and uncomfortable. I don’t think it’s worth the price but if I had money to burn I’d definitely buy it but I’d rather buy 2 bags from other brands with the money I have.
Yikes, a Chanel camera bag is on my list! I like both options above. I have read so many comments about quality, that just has not been my experience. I agree the pricing is out of control but I love Chanel anyway.
I’m not a Chanel girl at all but that maxi clutch might be my first…
I love both the shearling bags but I know I’ll get them filthy and they are way too pricey for that haha!
The quilted leather Shopping Bag is the only one I would consider.
I love the shopping bag – but not for that price. I’ll continue to shop pre-loved.
