The first Monday in May is here, and if you’re reading this, you likely know what that means—it’s Met Gala Monday, Baby! The 2025 Met Gala takes place today, Monday, May 5, celebrating the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
The Met Gala brings the world’s biggest celebrities and fashion stars to one place, and it all goes down on the Upper East Side. Ahead of the Met Gala, stars who don’t live in New York touch down in the days before to prep. This means fittings, facials, and of course, pre-parties!
Over the weekend, we spotted several stars out and about, but a few standout stars with some really great bags stood out amidst the frenzy. Let’s dive in!
Blake Lively
Blake Lively was spotted arm in arm with her sister Robin Lively leaving RH Rooftop. Despite her ongoing legal battle with former co-star Justin Baldoni, the star was all smiles. She wore a chic tweed set, insane Louboutin heels, and a Swarovski crystal Chanel bag.
Doechii
The voice behind social media’s most viral sound, taken from the song “Anxiety,” Doechii, who will make her Met Gala debut this year, waved to fans over the weekend on her way into a Vogue party. Fully embracing dandyism, she accessorized her Louis Vuitton fit with a Louis Vuitton basket of sunflowers. Yes girl, yes!
Nicky Hilton
Nicky Hilton stopped by New York’s buzziest new members club, The Twenty Two, for a Versace party hosted by Moda Operandi. The New York style icon paired an adorable baby blue Hermès Kelly with a printed Versace dress.
Pharrell Williams
LV King himself, Pharrell Williams, strolled around SoHo on a rainy afternoon looking effortlessly dapper with a touch of Monogram on his fit and full Monogram in hand. Pharrell, who has helped reignite fashion’s obsession with Louis Vuitton’s Speedy, carried the men’s croc version of the iconic bag.

I love the Hilton sisters, but Nicky has always had a warm spot in my heart. Compared to Paris, her style is so much more down to earth and classy where as Paris tends to follow trends. Nicky’s style is timeless.
