While plenty of trendy bags come and go, becoming the latest must-have bag on celebs and influencers alike, classic bags find their way into the repertoire of people just as often. And while I love the newest bag as much as the next girl, the bags that I tend to feel fondest over in my collection are the classics. These are the bags you don’t need to worry may become overly saturated in a way that makes them feel past their prime, and even if you see a lot of the specific bag, there is still an understanding that the beauty of the staying power won’t waiver.
While the Louis Vuitton Capucines hasn’t even hit the decade mark in its bag lifetime, every element and aspect of it come together to make the ideal timeless design with plenty of staying power. There’s the subtle LV that shows brand recognition, the beautiful leather, and the ladylike shape of course. There are different sizes and finishes, ranging from all leather to fabrics to exotics with every color combination in between.
When a bag is as beloved as the Capucines, it’s not surprising that there is a large celebrity following and this summer celebs favored their Louis Vuitton Capucines quite a bit. Lady Gaga was even spotted not carrying just one version, but a second as well. Take a look at how celebs carried this house staple during the summer of 2021 below!
Karlie Kloss opted for a full olive green ensemble, pairing a full-body Fendi outfit with an olive green Capucines and navy blue Gucci loafers.
For a more subtle look, Angelina Jolie kept her outfit simple in black and carried a natural and tan Capucines (happens to be a combination I adore).
