Chanel, Louis Vuitton & Hermes Are Celebs’ Preferred Brands This Week, As Ever

Fear not, the celeb bag picks this week are slightly less predictable than you’d think. There are gorgeous new offerings from Louis Vuitton and Coach, and a few must-see Chanel clutches from the red carpet at the British Fashion Awards. (And yeah, there are a few beautiful Hermès Birkins in the mix, as you might expect. What can you do?) Plus, it’s not every day I get to write about UFC champs or celebs with blue hair, so that’s exciting. Also, it’s possible that you need to start stocking up on animal prints for Winter 2016. We’ll explain shortly.

Here’s actress Alicia Vikander, plowing through LAX with a beautiful new Louis Vuitton City Steamer Bag, which the brand is banking on to be its next It Bag. (I’m sold, but I really love most of LV’s logo-free styles.) Alicia carries a lot of Louis Vuitton, and for good reason: she was enlisted as one of Louis Vuitton’s new celeb faces this past summer.

Emma Roberts was recently spotted leaving her NYC hotel with a sweet pink Kate Spade hatbox-style handbag. Kate Spade has done a great job of getting their cutest bags in the right celebrity hands in the last few weeks. Someone in their PR department probably deserves a pat on the back. Or better benefits.

Holly Holm

UFC fighter and Bantamweight champion Holly Holm briefly mugged for the paparazzi cameras outside of the Sports Illustrated offices in NYC. She’s carrying a classic Louis Vuitton Damier Neverfull Tote.

Irina Shayk
Hermès Crocodile Birkin

Behold: a rare photo of Irina Shayk smiling with teeth. Irina was recently spotted out with her gal pals in Soho, carrying a croc Birkin, as she is wont to do.

Jena Malone is making the press rounds to remind you that Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 is STILL in theaters, so who even cares about Star Wars? Here she is leaving the Live With Kelly and Michael studios with an extremely attractive plaid-printed rucksack from Coach. Has a bag ever been so 90s grunge and yet so holiday appropriate at the same time? Probably not.

June Ambrose
Hermès Birkin

Here’s celeb stylist and fashion designer June Ambrose, leaving the GMA studios with her own steely grey Birkin. Let’s talk about this celebrity animal print trend for a moment. Leopard is obviously huge this week; June and Emma are both wearing leopard print coats, Holly Holm is wearing a more subtle leopard print top and Lucy Hale was carrying a cheetah print Loeffler Randall bag last week.

Karlie Kloss
Chanel Minaudiere

Now we’ve reached the 2015 British Fashion Awards segment of this week’s roundup, in which celebs we love wear and carry Chanel (and only Chanel) and look amazing while doing so. Here’s Karlie Kloss, wearing a sheer metallic number from Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection. She’s carrying a gorgeous color-matching Chanel Minaudiere.

Singer/songwriter/Karl Lagerfeld poppet Lily Allen also wore a metallic Chanel number (which paired nicely with her newly blue hair) and carried a bright, white Chanel clutch on a chain.
