I’ve had my eye on this Elizabeth and James bag for a little while now. A few months back, I had the pleasure of visiting our friends over at E and J on press day to preview the new Fall 2017 collection. “I’m obsessed,” I immediately proclaimed upon first sight of the Elizabeth and James Grommet Market Shopper. I wanted to leave with it right then and there. The shape is so different from anything that I own, and I could picture myself toting it around all of fall and straight on through winter.
This shape comes in two sizes, but I’m partial to the small tan version. I’m swooning over it, mainly because I dream of pairing this little lady with my latest obsession from Elizabeth and James: A floral silk bomber + an edgy-yet-chic bag is the fall combo of my dreams. In caviar leather with eye-catching silver grommet details, the market shopper is as versatile as it is stylish. It can be worn crossbody with the detachable strap, or carried as a top handle—my favorite way!
Both sizes feature a snap top closure, interior zip pocket as well as an interior slit pocket. The crossbody strap is easily removable, and the bag features a structured flat base. The small grommet market shopper retails for $545 via Nordstrom, with overall dimensions of 7” x 9” x 5”, and the grommet market shopper retails for $645 via Nordstrom with dimensions of 8.5” x 11.5” x 6.5”.
