Loving Lately: 10 Things That Stole Kaitlin’s Heart for Fall 2017

Dear Fall, I love you. XOXO -Me

Oh fall, do you know how much I love you? From chunky knits and turtleneck sweaters to leather jackets and thigh-high boots, fall you can really do it all. Like many other fashion lovers on the planet, fall is truly my favorite season to shop for. It always has been and it always will be. As a kid, I longed for the back-to-school shopping routine. I couldn’t wait to get new clothes and new shoes. It was arguably the only thing I liked about going back to school. Go figure that here I am all these years later, working in the fashion industry.

This fall, there are so many things I’m lusting after, and truth be told my wish list grows daily. In the past, I tried to avoid the mall and online shopping like the plague—it’s just too tempting! However, these days being ‘in the know’ kinda goes along with the territory, so I’m constantly seeing new things that I have to have. Below are ten items at the top of my wishlist for Fall 2017, and it was really hard to narrow it down to just ten!

Saint Laurent Small Kate Velvet Shoulder Bag
$1,990 via Matches Fashion

Last week I told Amanda that I didn’t like velvet bags, and yet here I am, wanting a velvet bag. Bravo Saint Laurent, bravo.

Rag & Bone Wool Fedora
$195 via Bergdorf Goodman

When I was younger my mother would always tell me that I had a hat head. “Hats look good on me, you said so yourself,” I would whine when I was young and trying to get her to buy me one. All these years later, I still love hats of any kind. Beanies, baseball caps, you name it—after all, mom is always right! I can see myself sailing right through fall in this adorable wool fedora.

Acne Studios Deborah Oversized V-neck Sweater
$390 via Matches Fashion

Nothing screams fall like a good chunky sweater, and this baby pink is light enough to act like a neutral. I have a ton of sweaters just like this in my closet, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting another.

J.Brand Leather Skinny Pants
$1,000 via Net-a-Porter

I’ve always been obsessed with the idea of leather pants. These days with the sneaker trend in full affect, you can dress them down with a chunky sweater and sneakers or dress them up with heels and a nice top. They are just so effortlessly cool! I snagged a Helmut Lang leather front pair last year, but this year I’m dreaming of making the plunge into the full-on leather pool. J.Brand are the only jeans I’ll wear, so I already know the brand fits me really well.

Gucci Ace Embroidered Sneakers
$595 via Net-a-Porter

I’m pretty sure I’ve told everyone on team PB that I want these sneakers. Seriously, I need them. I had foot surgery a couple of years ago and lucky for me, the sneaker trend was just picking up steam at that time. It’s still going strong, and my feet couldn’t be happier. These sneakers add a bit of fun to the clean, classic white sneaker trend, and what could be wrong with Gucci sneakers? Absolutely nothing.

Elizabeth and James Printed Silk Bomber Jacket
$495 via Net-a-Porter

If any of my friends are reading this right now, I’M SORRY. I know I said I wouldn’t buy another printed bomber but this one just called to me.

Dear Frances Spirit Bootie
$550 via Shopbop

Just what I need, another black bootie? Yep, and in my defense, the black booties in my current rotation are suede, so I do need these leather black booties from Dear Frances. The brand is relatively new and has amassed a cult following since its stateside arrival last year. Snag these while you can, and be the first of your friends to do so.

Gucci T-Shirt
$550 via Gucci

I really don’t have reasons behind wanting this other than the fact that I just want to wear it with jeans and a leather jacket. Isn’t that enough?

Adidas Striped Dress
$60 via Nordstrom

Because sometimes I want to look sporty but not actually be sporty.

Mansur Gavriel Mini Mini Bucket Bag in Red
$475 via Neiman Marcus

Amanda told me I needed a red bag, and so I decided I needed a red bag. No but really, Mansur Gavriel Flamma is one of the best reds around, and after brunching with Amanda and her mini mini bucket, I decided that I needed one too.
