Nothing eats away at your sanity than not being able to figure out who made a particular handbag, and when it’s a bag we just keep seeing, that makes it even harder. We spotted one such bag on the arms of several fashion celebs in paparazzi shots outside the Spring 2015 shows, and now we’ve finally figured out what it is and where it can be bought.
The slick, retro-futuristic bag you see above is the Giorgio Armani Smooth Leather Top Handle, and it’s currently available to shop from LUISAVIAROMA for $2,195. In retrospect, it makes sense that the bag isn’t from a brand that’s considered a traditional accessories power; otherwise, it wouldn’t have flown under the radar long enough to make it to market without much Internet attention.
While trying to identify it last month, we looked all over the place, even prowling the Instagram accounts of the people spotted carrying it, to no avail. If you also came across it and were curious, here you go.
Georgio Armani makes beautiful bags ..I’m surprised they’re not know for them ..
In the past, it’s seemed like Armani doesn’t put nearly as much marketing effort behind its bags as most companies of its size do. Hopefully this is an indication that it’s changing, because it’s too bad that some of his better designs have gone unappreciated.

Giorgio Armani makes wonderful clothes, wonderful jackets but he never ever made beautiful accessories..this time he surprised me I must say that I like it!

I don’t think that I even knew that Armani made handbags. For me, it looks too much like a briefcase/workbag. I guess that I would need to see it in person.
What a sharp bag! The hardware is truly elegant, and the leather practically glows. Pity it doesn’t come with a removable shoulder or crossbody strap; I’m in the market for an “all purpose” black bag, and this one looks exactly right… except what if you need to carry it hands-free? And don’t most of us, at some point during the day?
I wish that bag designers talked to actual women, now and then…
I am surprised the bag wasn’t identified sooner. It was advertised and featured in the August issue of Harper’s Bazaar. The pictured bag was in a wonderful exotic skin. It must have been advertised in other magazines as well. There are more sizes available on Armani.com for sale. I also feel that Armani shoes don’t get enough attention. They have always been so timeless and understated.
