Few designer debuts of the Spring/Summer 2026 season were as anticipated as Louise Trotter’s first collection for Bottega Veneta. The House, which thrived under Matthieu Blazy, was in a transitional period, like so many other brands.
Trotter, who is the first woman to helm Bottega Veneta since Laura Braggion, who led the House from the 1980s through the early 2000s, has quickly proven herself to be the right choice, embracing the many eras of the House that have come before while simultaneously making it her own.
Defining a New Era at Bottega Veneta
Today, we have a more in-depth look at Bottega Veneta’s new era, with the launch of the House’s Summer 2026 campaign, which was shot by the iconic Juergen Teller in Venice.

Paying homage to the brand’s roots, Trotter brings Bottega Veneta back to Venice this season to showcase the elegant details and strong silhouettes of her debut collection for the storied House.
Staged at various locations around the city, the campaign is meant to capture a raw realness, juxtaposing everyday silhouettes like tailored daywear with the grander, more detailed pieces from Trotter’s debut collection.

The images also showcase new bags, cementing that in this new era, the ongoing dialogue with Bottega Veneta’s historic craft and artisanship will endure, and Bottega Veneta’s iconic intrecciato will continue to evolve. Looks more suitable for Fall Winter
Trotter is not for me. She wasn’t for me at Carven and I’m afraid she’s not for me at Bottega. She’s all form and very little function.
Is it just me or does the model in the red dress with her legs apart and stomach pushed out looks like she’s about to drop a baby… Anyway at least you look stylish LOL
