Two of the bags that mean the most to me in my collection are my special order Bottega Veneta Knot Clutches. Not only are both of my bags incredibly rare (Bottega Veneta made a small number of them for a group of PurseForum members), but they are totally stunning. When they were made, we were told that after a Bottega Veneta bag reaches approval for special order, it can not be made again for production. That means both of the bags I have are of a super limited run for very small group of people, and if that weren’t special enough, getting to work with PurseForum members on designing what we were looking for was such a great experience.
Bottega Veneta isn’t a brand that seeks to draw attention to itself with trend-setting bags; instead, the brand prefers discretion, and I don’t think that’s a problem. With so many brands fighting to release more items each season in hopes one will really stick with consumers, it’s nice to see a brand like Bottega Veneta staying with what it does best and honoring its tradition of quality craftsmanship and beautiful products.
I looked around and ended up seeing a few items I really loved from Bottega Veneta, and then a couple turned to five, which turned to eight. Focusing on evening bags and small bags, these are eight bags Bottega Veneta has right now that are worth a look.

Drooling over the knot clutch bag in hot pink! I’d also love to see a photo of those “special order” clutches… is that allowed?
Oh ya! I linked my review of one of them above: http://www.purseblog.com/purseonals/purseonals-special-order-bottega-veneta-intrecciato-karung-stretch-knot-clutch/
Let me see if I have photos of my gorgeous purple ostrich one!
Thanks for the link, Megs… what a terrific story!
Oh, could PurseBlog do a write up of Special Orders and specific brands and the processes involved? I know Dior does SO as well but I’m not sure about Chanel or any other brands.
Yes that would be great! Let me see what I can do 🙂
I love the pink bags!!!! 🙂
Really loving that mesh Knot clutch. Need one in gold!
I have always wanted a Knot clutch. Completely impractical for my lifestyle, but I can’t help it!
Me tooooooo! You know what, we should go ahead and buy it, why the hell not huh??!!!! I lust after it so much.
Love Bottega. Beautiful bags!
I love what BV does with colors, particularly their blues, pinks and deeper toned metallics. There’s a richness to the colors that you don’t find in many other brands — and when coupled with BV craftsmanship, it’s a powerfully tempting combo! I love my Olimpia in black, but I hope to get a blue or possibly deep pink bag from their 2016 spring collection. I have my eye on this one if they offer the non-exotic leather in the same blue that’s shown in the exotic example.
Passerine, what is that stunner in your first pic? I mean omg…FABULOUS.
LOVE the pink croc clutch… and I usually don’t care for BV bags. But that one is TDF. Now only if I can justify spending $9k for a clutch… even a croc one.
