As the season begins to change, so does our makeup. Most people alter their routines to suit the seasons, but there are some must-haves that stay the same no matter the season. While I love experimenting with beauty trends–it helps that Sephora is only a few blocks away from the office–I have some seasonless go-tos that you can always bet are in my beauty arsenal. If you’re looking to add something new to your makeup routine, I can heartily recommend all the products below from personal experience.
Sephora Collection Deluxe Charcoal Antibacterial Set
$62 via Sephora
Amazing makeup starts with an amazing set of brushes.
Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain
$14 via Sephora
I experiment the most with my lip colors. I’ve always liked the idea of lip stains, but I never found one I loved and felt comfortable wearing all day until one of my friends recommended these. The matte finish is long-lasting and super comfortable–I own almost every shade.
Dior Addict Lip Glow
$33 via Dior
I’m a really a big fan of this lip balm. While I love my lip stains and glosses, there are many instances where I want my lips to feel smooth and look natural. This balm is meant to enhance the natural color of your lips, and the subtle hint of color is perfect for a lot of looks.
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer- Radiance
$36 via Sephora
I received this as a free gift from a fashion show about a year ago, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Before I even put on my makeup, I already notice an illuminating shimmer that helps to create a dewy glow.
Make Up For Ever HD Blush in Flamingo Pink
$26 via Sephora
When I put my makeup on in the morning, sometimes–especially when I’m rushing–I tend to have a heavy hand. This creamy blush can be applied with your fingers or with an angled brush. Whether you’re going for a dramatic or subtle look, this cream blush allows you to easily achieve both and can easily be wiped off if too much is applied!
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner
$20 via Sephora
After reading Amanda’s favorite beauty buys earlier this year, I tried this Kat Von D liner because I was looking to achieve the perfect cat-eye. Let’s just say Amanda doesn’t lead us wrong when it come to handbags or beauty products!
Chanel Correcteur Perfection Concealer
$42 via Chanel
A day without concealer is one day too many for me. I have very dark under-eyes, of which I’m very self-conscious. Even on days when I go makeup-free, I put a dab of this Chanel concealer under my eyes and it’s a huge help.
Chanel UV Essential Sunscreen
$55 via Chanel
I don’t joke around when it comes to sun protection. Not only would I like to have the skin of a 25-year-old when I’m 50 if at all possible, but skin cancer also runs in the family. I’ve tried various face sunscreens, but I like Chanel’s because my skin doesn’t get irritated, it doesn’t make my skin look pale after application and it layers well under my makeup.
Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray
$30 via Sephora
There’s nothing I hate more than the makeup I applied in the morning looks unkempt by the end of day. Thanks to this Urban Decay setting spray, I’ll never have that problem again. I was skeptical after my cousin recommended it to me, but after putting it the test this summer, I’m hooked. I wear it every day, and at the end of the day my makeup looks just as good as when I put it on.
Chanel Rouge Coco Gabrielle Lip Color
$37 via Chanel
A red lip is timeless, and this shade from Chanel is iconic as it gets.
Dior Airflash Spray Foundation
$62 via Dior
While I love my Chanel CC Cream for daily wear, sometimes I need a little something extra on special occasions. This Dior Airflash foundation is great for natural-looking coverage and has a glowing finish. The spray is refreshing upon application, but if a spray application isn’t for you, you can also use a foundation brush. Either way, the end result is velvety, long-lasting coverage.
Smashbox Halo Highlighting Wand
$29 via Sephora
Since I wrote about the best summer-glow highlighters, I’ve experimented with one more and I’m obsessed. This sheer highlighter blends easily, delivers a natural-looking glow and is easy to apply with built-in brush.
Chanel CC Cream
$55 via Chanel
For work I don’t like to wear heavy foundation; I like lightweight coverage that looks natural. This CC cream is perfect, especially in the winter due to its extra moisture.
Dior Addict It-Lash Mascara
$29 via Dior
I’ve been using this mascara for a few years now and its long-lasting coverage adds extra length and volume and separates my lashes perfectly.
Gucci GG Blooms Cosmetic Case
$350 via Neiman Marcus
Ok, so I don’t own this Gucci cosmetic case yet. However, wouldn’t this be perfect to carry some of my beauty essentials?
