The French Open, which is also known as Roland-Garros, is one of the four Grand Slam tennis events held in Paris, France, yearly. It follows after the Australian Open and precedes Wimbledon and the US Open. Tennis has always been one of the most popular sports, but in recent years, the fashion world has attached itself even deeper to the sports world, and tennis is one of the most notable.
Gucci has partnered with tennis phenom Jannick Sinner and expanded that partnership with a complete tennis capsule collection. Other brands have followed suit by partnering with tennis players around large tournaments on an ongoing basis.
With more of a spotlight on the players and big names attending tennis tournaments, tennis-goers have also upped their style game. While the idea is to be comfortable and ready to walk around the grounds and sit in the stands, a great outfit and an even better bag don’t hurt.

The Lacoste Lenglen bag is sooo cute!!
I know! And fancy spotting two!
Right?! Now I want to check it out in person!
The Lacoste tennis skirt bag was a perfect choice for the French Open. If I were a serious tennis follower, I’d definitely want one — after all, we do live in Roger Federer’s hometown 🙂 But of the other bags shown, I’d go for the Loewe basket bag and the Saint Laurent Kate shoulder bag.
I loved that Longchamp crossbody!
I could be wrong but I think the woman in beige pants is carrying an Artois; it looks too structured for a St. Louis.
It’s not an Artois. Artois’ have leather reinforced corners.
