Isabella Fiore Peace & Love Rafaella Hobo

Is it just me, or has the whole Ed Hardy/Chrisian Audigier debacle (and that’s really the only word to describe it) ruined tattoo prints for all of us? I’m kind of thinking it’s not just me.

Stuff like what’s found on the Isabella Fiore Peace & Love Rafaella Hobo just doesn’t look modern and interesting anymore, and what’s worse, Audigier’s work makes it look cheap by style association.

Alexander Wang Jess Small Shopper

Now this is something a bit different than what we would expect from Alexander Wang. I am not saying it is a complete surprise, but it is a bit different than what we’ve been accustom to lately. However what we are looking at here is nothing to shy away from – even if it is different than what we are used to. The Alexander Wang Jess Small Shopper is a bag that I would not only be happy to carry but would also absolutely love to carry.

Wrap it up With a Bow Embellished Handbag

The Marc by Marc Jacobs RTW Spring 2010 collections presented most all of the female models wearing gigantic bows on their heads. You’d have to be blind to have missed the neon fuchsia, red and blue swathes of fabric walking down the runway. It was all in tune with the very prevalent ’80s theme. Or perhaps it is an ode to Madonna. Can you say “Desperately Seeking Susan” or ginormous bunny ears at the Met ball, anyone? Thus, we are also seeing a common trend in bow-embellished handbags. Perhaps it is part of the ’80s revival as well. We found a few bags with a serious bow element to them.

Rebecca Minkoff Snake Fling Clutch

Rebecca Minkoff Snake Fling Clutch

Sometimes buying the bags that we NEED rather than the bags that we want can be a little boring, but when a basic black evening bag is as well-done as the Rebecca Minkoff Snake Fling Clutch, buying what you need is anything but boring.

Treesje Divino Grande Satchel

Lately, in my mind, Treesje can do no wrong. They use nice leather, their bags are functional yet stylish, they’re priced reasonably and they made a line of swoon-worthy skull bags that turned me into a life-long fan, no matter what.

My latest Treesje obsession? The Treesje Divino Grande Satchel.

Rebecca Minkoff Mini Nikki Bag with Resin Handle

Megs had mentioned yesterday that she got caught up on Shopbop shopping for quite a while. Well, with all the new fall bags, I am not surprised at all. In fact, I’ve been memorized with all the wonderful bags to choose from. One bag that I simply can’t get over is the Rebecca Minkoff Mini Nikki Bag with Resin Handle. The Nikki Bag is nothing new to us here on Purse Blog, but it is great to see a different take on this classic.

Tod’s D Bag

It has been a while since we have covered Tod’s on Purse Blog. It was not by intention, as we are huge Tod’s fans. The fact of the matter is anytime we view a Tod’s collection we see simple elegance. Every collection continues to bring forth a sophisticated touch that has become ubiquitous with the brand.

Tods D Bag is the highlight of the Fall/Winter 2010 collection. This season of items from Tod’s can be summed up by tradition, fine craftsmanship and functionality. This is not the first we have seen of the D-Bag but there are new sizes, colors, and skins. Celeb fans include Diane Kruger, Jennifer Garner, Julianne Moore, Leighton Meester, and Nicole Kidman.

Jack Rabbit Collection Silver Springs Shoulder Bag

We’ve seen little from and heard even less about Jack Rabbit Collection, but every time I see one of their bags, I find myself impressed in one way or another. What they seem to do really well is take a simple line or a simple idea, tweak it just so, and make it look new and interesting without making it any more complicated than it needs to be.

And that’s exactly what they did to make the Jack Rabbit Collection Silver Springs Shoulder Bag such a winner.

Diane von Furstenberg Stephanie Bracelet Clutch

Oh my goodness! I can barely believe my eyes. I am so absolutely pleased that Diane von Furstenberg took her ever popular Stephanie Bag and downsized it a bit. Unlike most people out there, I sort of felt like the Stephanie Bag was just a bit too big. I felt awkward when I tried it on. It seemed to hang too low for my liking (and I am 5′ 9″) and I hated how it would constantly bang against my side. But, now *THIS* is a bag inspired by the same style that I am dying for!

Olivia Harris Spider Lambskin Satchel

We’ve been writing a lot about Olivia Harris lately, and it’s not for nothing, as they say. Conceived by Joy Gryson and named after her baby daughter, the bags in this line are a young-looking, lower priced alternative to her eponymous collection.

So far, the whole team at PurseBlog has been really impressed by them, and if they continue to make bags like the Olivia Harris Spider Lambskin Satchel, our opinion probably won’t change any time soon.
