I am still intrigued by the Prada Inside bag.

    • It’s really cool in person; lots of compartments and the leathers I’ve felt have all been really soft and nice.

This is great news! And that Anya Hindmarch maxi is seriously cute.

The mini/micro bag trend was nice, and it even taught me to carry small bags. Earlier, I would only carry huge&heavy bags, mostly totes, but now I own several nice small/mini bags.

Having said that, I think it’s awesome to see large bags come back! Really liking slides 5 & 14.

I just bought a lovely Lumi XXL Supermarket tote a few weeks ago, and I’m so in love with it. Life’s necessities fit in as well as a whole bunch of other stuff. =)

    • Iris

I have been wanting to get myself a Lumi supermarket XL but haven’t pulled the trigger because I cannot find how much it weighs anywhere. Would you be so kind as to let me know if it is a super heavy bag?
      Thanks

Usually a purchaser of higher-end bags, but that Tory Burch Half Moon has my attention!

      I love that color!

Thanks for establishing that with us first before just simply stating you like the Tory Bag.

Love the Loewe but how the heck does it work??

I like to Tod’s, nice details, but I wonder how it opens…

    • FashionableLena

I looked at that Tod’s bag today, and it was a big no. The opening was a pain to get in and out of. Basically, there’s a zipper under that first flap that opens the whole bag. However, you really have to sit the bag down to open it and get into it then to zip it. The sides also snap down on the sides. I didn’t find that it was a bag that you could keep open.

Depends on the lifestyle. I personally HATE large bags, I don’t carry a bunch of crap with me everywhere on a daily basis, and not to mention they are way too heavy and KILL your arm/back/shoulder.

  • Daisy Fields

I like medium size bags more than large bags.

Sign me up for the Chloe bag!! Love it!

Why can’t there be something in between? I don’t need micro bags that don’t fit more than a lipstick, but seriously I also don’t need a bag that looks like a weekender….For me, the Chloé Marcie medium has the perfect size. Fits all essentials, without being too big or too heavy.

I’m completely with you! I’ve been eyeing the LV Twist MM which is 9×6 – fits regular sized wallet, iPad mini, sunglass case etc. I’m just sick of totes where my stuff drowns in, or little bags for which I have to change my wallet. I want something in between that keeps me honest with the 5-6 essentials I really need without overpacking or lacking the basics.

  • crissy

    I want that Chloe bag!

  • Kate

I like the medium Chloe Hudson and the LV City Steamer, and I’m still squinting at that Valentino tote to decide whether it floats my boat, but honestly smaller bags are doing it for me lately. I hate micro bags, but there is a universe of mini, small and medium bags between the two extremes. My addiction to enormous bags in recent years may have caused me permanent shoulder pain, and I’m reluctant to go back there.

I’m a happy owner of the Gucci Tian Supreme Boston bag shown in photo 8. It’s more like a roomy medium-sized bag than a true large bag. It’s lightweight, waterproof and easy to carry on the arm or on the shoulder. I get lots of compliments on it. Even the box it came in was beautiful (see photo). Glad I bought it (for 1390 euros, which is quite a bit less than the U.S. price). For the rest of this selection, the one that most interests me is the Loewe Strip Suede shoulder bag. I love a really good suede bag. The Chloe Hudson seems just a little too big, the shoulder strap on the LV City Steamer is too thin for it to be carried comfortably when fully loaded, and the Tod’s Wave just doesn’t work on a practical level for the reasons FashionableLena described below. The Prada bag has a cool early Mad Men vibe going for it (and it’s the only version of the Inside bag I’ve seen so far that I like), but I just can’t warm up to calf hair. I’m glad the micro bag trend is on its way out, but OTOH I was never a fan of huge bags. I prefer a medium sized bag that’s just big enough to hold an iPad/Kindle, wallet, sunglasses, phone, a couple of smallish pouches — just my usual daily stuff.

    The Loewe interests me

I purchased the Fendi Dot.com (red with whip stitched as shown above) a few weeks ago. It is a beautiful red and surprisingly is not as big as I imagined. Also, it is more lightweight than it may appear. I couldn’t be happier and it holds a lot!!

As a mother I appreciate larger bags that are not diaper bags. The problem is when they get too massive. Being petite it becomes a problem. Bags that hit most women at the hip from the shoulder always end up slung under my tuchas! What to do! Of course when you adjust the strap you end up with a huge tail hanging down. I wish bags came in petite.

      You described my life!

I am obsessed with that new Chanel plaid… I NEED one of these in my life!
