One company that appears to be paying absolutely no attention to fall trends is Versace. And why would we expect them to? They pay no attention to good taste or reasonable pricing standards, so this is about par for the course.

Objectively, the Versace Socialite Satchel is not a terrible Bag. It’s perfectly fine. But it is completely tone deaf when compared to what else is going on in fashion right now. And, as always, the price is astronomical.

I have always had a thing for Miu Miu. Call it a crush or maybe something stronger. To this day I do not own a Miu Miu bag, but I always seem to find one that I like. As much as I want to like the Miu Miu Large Woven Leather Tote, I simply find it to be more of an odd pairing of imitations of other bags. The woven leather channels Bottega Veneta and the buckle at the top to adjust models a horrid Hermes knockoff. I am not attempting to say that Miu Miu is knocking off Bottega Veneta or Hermes, I am simply pointing out the similarities.

Another day, another studded bag. If you’re sick of this trend, wait a month – you’ll be more sick of it. I promise. But as it stands now, I still love it, and I’m still happy to write about it. Studs have not jumped the shark just yet.

And despite my lack of love for shiny gold hardware, and in particular shiny gold studs, I can’t help but enjoy the Be & D Garbo Convertible Tote. Even though it’s over the top and a bit gaudy, the bag just works.

Is this bag cute? I’ve found myself unable to decide. Unfortunately, the more that I look at the Via Repubblica Swag Studded Tote [sic], the less I like it. I started out enthusiastic, and I have steadily become less so, and now I’m not sure that I like it at all.

I’m not sure if it’s the material, the color, or the very limited design elements. Or maybe it’s all of them. But I feel like you guys might be able to help me figure it out.

Seeing this tote reminds me that it is time to get back to Yoga. Truly is good for the mind, body, and soul. The hottest yoga brand of clothing and accessories, Beyond Yoga, have released the coolest line of canvas bags that graffiti artist Andre Charles sprayed with selected words. Each version has a word selected by a different A-list celeb. After being asked to complete the sentence “I am beyond…” Rachel Bilson came up with Drama, Jennifer Aniston choose Grateful, Cameron Diaz said Hopeful, Anne Hathaway picked Lucky, Drew Barrymore obviously choose Happy, and Reese Witherspon opted for Blessed.

While, here at Purse Blog we get a chance to meet so many fabulous designers, there are still some out there that I promise myself I will meet someday. Marc Jacobs has to be one of those designers. I absolutely love him, his style, what he stands for, how he rocks out and how he continues to amaze me.

I’ve died and gone to soft, supple, clutch heaven. We not only covered but also gave away a Linea Pelle Alyssa Tote a few months back and it was a huge hit. To be honest, there is no reason that it wouldn’t be. The entire Linea Pelle Alyssa line is to die for. The leather is supple, colorful and ages beyond gracefully.
