Have I told you all about my love of gray handbags? It is an amazing shade (can we even technically label it a color?. Not black, not white, but a tone between the two that is easy to wear and matches everything. Some gray tones are superior to others, and this Donna Karan bag has perfected an ash-gray color that I am completely drawn to. Actually, this bag suits me for many reasons.

Let me introduce you to the Donna Karan Bandito Bag. With an appealing slouch, the Bandito has a drawstring top with ruched paneling. But can I tell you more about every aspect of why I love it?

Last night’s episode of Gossip Girl stirred things up in a major way, and thank god that it did. On the Louboutin-clad heels of last week’s Chuck and Blair implosion, the writers saw fit to destroy two more major relationships on the show, perhaps just for the fun of it. Since I don’t root for any of these characters in particular (I prefer to root for chaos – it keeps things interesting), I couldn’t have asked for anything better.

The episode was still a bit boring from time to time, but the reintroduction of Carter Baizen, Little Jenny Humphrey’s machinations to break up Serena and Nate, Rufus’s somewhat belated realization that Lily isn’t at Canyon Ranch and Blair’s insistence on the finality of her breakup with Chuck kept things interesting and set up potential plots for weeks to come. Plus, Dorota got married! And Wallace Shawn made another cameo! And Eric has a bisexual maybe-hookup! The amount of ridiculousness in this episode was near first-season levels, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I know what you’re going to say: that this Treesje looks like it’s being grasped from the sides by long, mechanical fingers, probably belonging to some incredibly fierce future android. Oh, what’s that? That wasn’t what you were going to say? I see. Well, that’s what I imagine the bag as, so clearly I have a strange mind.

What is there to say about the Chanel 2.55 Reissue Alligator Flap Bag that isn’t already patently obvious, just from looking at it? I’m not sure, so feel free to ignore my words and have your own private droolfest over this thing. I wouldn’t blame you at all.

What we have here is the standard 2.55 Reissue Flap with Mademoiselle chain, rendered in perfect patina’d alligator. It’s from the Pre-Spring 2010 collection, it’s utterly gorgeous, and it’s out of my price range. That doesn’t mean I can’t look at it, however – looking is free, and I encourage all of you to do as much of it as possible. This is a bag that deserves to be seen.

It’s rare that I come across a Marc by Marc Jacobs bag that I just don’t understand – normally I love nearly everything that the line makes, particularly their simple leather bags. Plus, I’m a big fan of hobos anyway, so it’s doubly surprising that I just can’t bring myself to like the Marc by Marc Jacobs Hexi Lafayette Pleated Hobo.

Does anyone else look at his and see a deflated soccer ball with a strap attached? Of course, deflated football clutches popped up in Alexander Wang’s show last season, so perhaps this is a budding trend. I hope not, however – the footballs were cute and irreverently preppy, but this is just a bit sloppy-looking.

So, you may or may not know that I’ve been on an ongoing search for the perfect wallet. Megs rocks a great Louis Vuitton Zip Wallet that I’ve had my eye on for some time, but I haven’t gone out and bought something similar quite yet. I can see myself adding that wallet to my collection at some point, but I feel like I’ve been holding out for something else. And you know what? This Linea Pelle Alex Corset Wallet might just be what I’ve been holding out for.

Can I beg the producers and writers of Sex and the City to follow the 2nd movie with at least 10+ sequels? A-la James Bond of the fashion world. Because the extended trailer of Sex and the City 2 has hit the internet world and I got all kinds of excited. The first trailer came out in December and now as the May 27th date is fast approaching. The extended trailer gives us a better look at the story line and what we can expect from the fabulous foursome. There was the slightest glimpse at the filled up closet-of-every-woman’s-dreams (aka Carrie’s closet). We get to preview more fashion, but not nearly as much as I know the movie will be filled with.
