With Pierpaolo Piccioli at the helm of Valentino, viewers of a Valentino runway show can expect to be wowed. It’s Valentino, through Piccioli’s lens, that fashion continues to fall in love with. From his continued evolution of the Rockstud to the era of all things pink and, most recently, the introduction of Toile Iconographe, Piccioli continues to make Valentino feel fresh. That newness continued for Spring 2024, and the collection as a whole was anchored in femininity.
Kaia Gerber opened the show in a breathtaking white mini dress with ornate cut-outs. Utilizing a technique new to the House called altorilievo, sculpted intricate motifs appearing three-dimensionally frame the body. These intricacies were seen throughout, characterized by a mostly neutral palette with pops of dark green and hints of muted florals.
The Bags of Valentino Spring 2024
Technique aside, the newness did not stop there, and the Spring 2024 collection unveils Valentino’s next big bag push, the Valentino VLOGO Moon Bag, which features a light gold logo design. It’s this detail that defines the bag’s casual but distinct moon-like shape, said to represent the early days of the Maison’s iconic insignia.
Arriving in an array of sizes and leathers, the VLOGO Moon is designed to be clutched via the link logo chain strap as shown on the runway, though there’s also a longer leather strap. The small version, retailing for $2,800, has already launched on Valentino.com. Other bags included slouchy leather silhouettes in various shapes, all focusing on the Valentino VLOGO.

Ok, Gucci attache it is….
I love the leathers and colors but the size of the V logo is jarring
