Under Alessandro Michele’s reign at Valentino, the House has returned to its Maximalist roots. Now two years into his appointment at the Italian House, Michele has cemented his aesthetic for Valentino, defined in part by the moments in between, the push and pull of Valentino’s past and present. The result is a beautiful, colorful mix of strong silhouettes, bold shapes, and intricate details.
Interferenze: Opposing Forces Inspire Fall 2026
For Fall 2026, Michele was further inspired by the idea of opposing forces, titling the collection presented in Rome following the close of PFW, Interferenze, which translates to interference. Fluid draping and romantic, lingerie-inspired pieces gave way to bold furs, cinched waists, and statement shoulders plucked right from 1980s Valentino.
Still, as a whole, the collection explores the many eras of the Valentino woman, and that includes the 2010s—think skinny jeans and yes, Rockstuds, including the Rockstud Spike Chain Bag, which first debuted on the runway for Fall 2016. It seems, like the rest of the world, Michele is nostalgic for a simpler time.
The revival is given a modern update with a slimmer profile and a more east/west silhouette, appearing in leather and suede alike. Elsewhere, new House staples designed by Michele, like the Panthea and the DeVain bags, remain a big push this season, introduced in novelty iterations that complement the collection’s maximalist edge.

I’ll always have a special place in my heart for studded bags. And the beaded bags from this collection are gorgeous! I don’t understand the hate in the comments but to each their own!
The colors in this collection are so good.
I have not been liking Valentino for some time now. I feel like the studs are played out and everything else is just not doing it for me. HOWEVER, I do appreciate those who are loving it. To each their own and how boring would the world be if we all felt the same way about fashion 😉
No, this has nothing to do with Valentino roots. It’s a piece here and there, but most of it is plain and simple tacky, and in poor taste.
I like the Lion (?) bangle
This is awful.
I love some individual pieces but it’s poorly edited
I couldn’t wait to get a pair of Valentino Rockstud, flat sandals! The first time I wore them, I crossed my feet and all I felt were little daggers! There was real physical pain! I wore them a few times and sold them to TheRealReal. 🫠
prices?
Love me a rockstud!
Wow 🤩 so beautiful and just like pure art piece! Clothes are also stunning with the intricate details. Love them all
