Valentino Continues to Push Its New Logo Bags for Fall 2019

There was a new Rockstud bag too, oh but of course...

In recent years, Valentino‘s runway shows weren’t all that shocking. They included the usual suspects—Rockstuds galore, mini-bags, and trendy styles catering to what has consistently worked for the brand in years past. All that changed for Spring 2019 when the brand introduced new logo hardware. The prominence of this new logo was impossible to ignore, implying that these bags would be a big push for the brand in seasons to come. Unsurprisingly, Valentino has continued to bet heavy on this logo for Fall 2019.

The emphasis was clear, with nearly all of the bags containing the big ‘V’ hardware. And while the logo itself was impossible to ignore, the bags overall were underwhelming at best. Most of the collection featured structured flap bags of varying sizes. Some featured a convertible gold chain while others were finished with a leather shoulder strap. A small zip-around camera bag was also introduced, of course bearing the new logo. While Valentino’s iconic Rockstuds weren’t very prominent throughout, a supple flap bag with studded detailing was introduced in two colors. View all the bags from the runway below.
